COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Last brewed in early 2000.
A blend of malts give a sweetness and body usual with dark beers but full hopping allows the bitter flavor to come through.

Bottle at Chriso’ Blue Mountains of Virginia tasting. Smells of a sugar lined cardboard box. Not a huge amount of body, very old, some roasted malt. Just not very good. Aroma is frankly revolting.

brown, whispy tan head, sweet winy malt aroma, sweet malt flavor, wine like esters, slight hint of bitterness, good, but is it a porter?

1998 Bottle. Otto delivers. Dark brown colour, no head, just bubbles. Very light bodied, much is lost here. Also totally flat with caramel notes and madeira. Tad sourish. Low bitterness. Light caramelly in mouth. A lot is lost but it still has the subtle gentleness of an aged porter.
