Sampled at brewpub with Lubiere. An odd, murky, muddy reddish-brown with no head. Not porter colour! Dried fruit, raisins and a sl. red wine nose. Flat as a board and thin. Reminds me of Newcastle Brown (candy malt and slightly vinous). Vegetal finish. No thanks!

An ugly muddy hazy brown concoction with a very thin off white head. A rather funky chocolate aroma with notes of yeasts, dried fruits and figs. In mouth, a dead beer lacking carbonatation, fails to enhance the chocolate malt, more into brown ale territory. A miserable porter. On tap at the pub, with kprobst, Oct. 22 2006.
