Whoa, what’s this? The first cherry beer I’ve had that actually tastes like cherries! Yup, clearly there are good tart cherries in this beer and they hold juicily behind every sip, not so much that you think ’this isn’t beer’ but just enough so that you recognize their goodness. Well done!

Thanks to Ken for this one. Golden appearance. Sweet aroma. Fruit is present, similar to apples more so than cherries. Warm sugar flavor, slightly tart fruit.

At long last a cherry brew without cloying sweetness! I might even drink this one again.

Pours a dark copper orange with a ruby tint and a thin, white ring of head. Nice semi-sweet tart cherry and biscuity malty aroma. Starts with mildly sweet crystal maltiness revealing some fresh, tart cherry flavor toward a full bittersweet fruity finish. An interesting, decent fruit beer.

On tap @ MBGF: Cherry aroma with some moderate tartness. Cloudy ornage with a small white head. Flavor is kind of a cherry Euro-lager. Flavor is more sweet cherries with only the slightest hint of tartness. Not bad. Definitely better than Bell’s attempt.

Tap: poured an orangish hue with no head. Light cherry aroma. Initial taste is very week but turns to really tart cherry. Very pleasant aftertaste.

Poured a lightly hazed golden amber color. Aroma of cherry pie filling, without most of the sweetness. Malt comes through underneath. Flavor of caramel malt and a touch of cherry (not enough compared to the flavor). not much sweetness with a mild bitter finish.

22oz bottle. Pours a dark red color with a white frothy head. Nose is kinda woody, dry, lightly cherry. Taste is cherries and light malt, finishes lightly bitter and a little tart.

22oz bottle. Poured a medium and slightly cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of mainly tart cherry pie filling and I’m also getting some oakiness. Tastes of cherries and sweet berries. I thought this had a decent cherry aroma but the flavors were a bit of a let down. Thinner body.
