Commercial Description:
Contract brewed for Cobra Beer.
Sold as Krait Prestige Champagne Lager in North America.
Double fermented to be twice the beer, King Cobra is a unique lager, specially brewed to be extra smooth. This strong lager is fermented a second time in Belgium's world famous Rodenbach brewery, to bring out all the sutleties and character of its fine ingredients.

Bottle, 75 cl. (thx to Yves Vdb) tasted yesterday @ home. Clear yellow color, with a small white head. Aroma (low aroma) hoppy, fruity, bittersweet. Medium bodied. Taste very sweet, malty, fruity, a bit hops. Not a great beer.

Corked 750ml bottle, served chilled. Light aroma, bready rice, white sugar, slight tanginess. Pours quite an elegant looking pale straw body with nice beading forming a tight white head with nice lace. Carbonation is on the lively side, syrupy texture, near cloying with sweetness, suprisingly abrupt palate of flavour though. Flavour seems to benefit from some warmth; candied orange, sweet corn, ripe pears, a dry citric tang towards the finish. Finishes chalky dry, metallic bitterness. I didn’t have great expectations from this strong lager, bit too sweet and one-dimensional for my taste, though it’s terribly easy to drink.

Bottle 750ml. Pours a standard golden lager colour with a large fluffy head. No particular aroma, just lager! Sweet and malty with a wheaty aftertaste. Tasted okay on its own and chilled but totally changed when consumed with food. I had a fillet steak and this lager took on a very acidic twist.

(375ml bottle, labeled Krait Prestige) Swiftly diminishing large white head atop clear straw body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, light bread. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, some alcohol, yeast. Medium-full body.

Pours a fairly pale straw with just a little rosy tint. Tons of active white head that settles down to just a few streaks. Fresh herbal soap aroma with a mineral/sulfur note that is subtle enough that it adds texture rather than detracts. Sweet grainy flavor--bagette drizzled with simple syrup. Subdued herbal hops are not quite up to the task of providing balance. Ends of being cloying, and I’m glad I have help finishing the bottle. Oddly, the alcohol hides better than the sweetness. As something that had Rodenbach’s name dropped in the label, I had higher hopes. (Okay. 10 minutes after I entered this rating, I came back and finished my glass, and this had actually gotten significantly more interesting and balanced as it warmed. A bit of vanilla rounds out the aroma. A tart note gives some relief to the sweetnes. Not bad.)

This blonde ale poured with a large frothy white head. Its effervescense can be viewed through the side of clear pilsner glass. The flavor is rather sweet with a nice malty character and a hoppy alcohol finish. This is a pleasant drink on a warm day.

Sweet sugary aroma, some malts, and alcohol. Pours light blonde with a strong last dense head. Smooth and malty, hints of hops, cereal flavors, with a noticable alcohol presence. Not all that bad.

Light hazy blond coloured beer with average carbonation and a rather small white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Full palate. Finish is very fruity, hints of hops, malts and a light alcoholic touch. NIce one.
