COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Contract brewed for Cobra Beer.
Sold as Krait Prestige Champagne Lager in North America.
Double fermented to be twice the beer, King Cobra is a unique lager, specially brewed to be extra smooth. This strong lager is fermented a second time in Belgium's world famous Rodenbach brewery, to bring out all the sutleties and character of its fine ingredients.

Clear golden pour with a thin, yet lasting white head. Aroma has a lot of grassiness, honey and lemon. Creamy mouthfeel, heavy carbonation. Not much taste except for a hit of alcohol and some light hops. Finish is quick with virtually no aftertaste, just a slight warm alcohol feel. Aroma was good enough but it falls apart when you drink it. Surprisingly bland.

Superioir strong beer, extra smooth taste. It certainly lives up to the name, a really hard hitting, palatable beer.

Nov. 24, 2007; bottle. First experience with a "European Strong Lager." Gold appearance; exceptionally-sweet, fresh-grassy aroma; lemony-citrus taste with strong hop profile and evident alcohol heft. Somewhat sour & acidic palate. Lagers of any stripe are the red-headed stepchildren of the ratebeer.com intelligentsia, but I’ll buck the system and say that this is worth a try if you like the style.

Bottle from BevMo. Pour a nice medium golden color with s nice white head. Lots of bubbles swirling about. Sweet grainy aroma. Reminds me of a malt liquor. Flavor is yeast and grains. Pretty smooth. Not very flavorful. This is like a premium malt liquor. Would be a regular purchase if it was priced like a malt liquor.

shared 750 ml bottle (sold as Krait Prestige). was on clearance for $3 / bottle at my local beverage store so I took a chance with this one. pours a nice golden color with a thick white head. has a nice refreshing flavor and much more body than a typical american lager. Average carbonation. Slightly hoppy. A real bargain for $3 a 750 ml bottle.

Got a few bottles of this (as Krait Prestige) for $3 down at the package store, so I wasn’t expecting much. That said, I can’t see what everyone’s complaining about: this 750 poured a clear light gold with foamy dissipating head; on the nose a slight fruity, citrusy tang, slight hibiscus, strong honey sweetness; pretty full mouthfeel for a lager, very rich and syrupy, tangerine sweetness, finishing very cleanly with a very mild tanginess. Alcohol is very well concealed considering it’s 8%. Certainly enjoyable considering the price.

In short: A boring characterless Strong Golden Beer
How: Tasting session at brother’s place. Bottle, fresh from a Massachusetts store.
The look: clear blonde body with a small white head that quickly disappears completely
In long: A fizzy drink (despite lack of head) with a lean body. Flavorless bread, honey, white grapes and red/green apples. Overall not very flavorful at all. Alcohol apparent. That almost felt like a cheap carbonated white wine. Body quickly becomes totally dead. Supposed to be one of those beer brewed using champagne techniques but trust me this is no Malheur Brut or even Deus Brut. Sold in the USA for to much $$$ as Krait Prestige… ohh, sounds fancy. So does Royal With Cheese.

Corked champage bottle. Pours a very pale yellow with characteristic carbonation. Crisp and easy to drink but no real flavor.
