750 at the closing sale of The Good Beer Store, Chapel Hill. I’m very surprised to see how low the ratings are for this beer. Sure it’s nothing that knocks your socks off, especially at the price, but it’s very solid. Beautiful looking for sure, with a lasting head and hyperactive carbonation. A modest fruity nose and some faint spice in the flavor makes it more distinct than the average strong lager. Enjoyable.

75cl bottle. Pale straw with a thick billowing white head; heavily carbonated. Flowery, herbal hop aroma; thick and oily in the mouth with a sweet grainy flavour. Smooth and easy to drink, the alcohol being well masked.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 DSG (3017) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JUL 2, 2010
Bottle. Clear golden with a slowly-diminishing medium white head. Somewhat grainy aroma with pale malt, some bread, fruity hints, alcohol and some hoppy notes. Semi-dry flavor with some slightly grainy sweetness, light fruitiness and a bitter, slightly metallic, peppery alcohol finish. Medium-bodied. Boring and not very tasty. "A superior lager beer"? Maybe "A crappy yet somewhat drinkable strong lager".

Nice bottle that gives the impression that you are buying a classy beer. What you get in reality is a euro-fizz strong lager.Yellow and slightly cloudy with a
strong alcohol presence. Not bad for its sort but not one I would try again.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bluevegie (2932) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 5, 2006
Well this beer was a pleasant surprise, I can’t really say that I like the style of European Strong Lagers because generally all you can taste is the alcohol. The colour of the body was a dull pale straw, trying to be golden, with a large frothy white head that almost hung around the distance. Aroma of dough and lemon. Smooth tasting with light malt characters and hints of cheese, balanced alcohol, some citrus and the bottle conditioning helps as well.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - APR 4, 2008
While living up to the name King Cobra can be tough, this manages to sneak out of the powerful shadow of its 40oz brother. Pours clear straw gold, hazy at the end of the bottle. Fairly clean and crisp, hops balance well, refreshing with a nice dry yeasty finish.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 crossovert (2791) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 4, 2011
750ml bottle, corked and caged. "Crafted in Belgium" "Champagne Lager".
Pours a pineapple/pee colored yellow ithe a big foamy white head that sticks for awhile and leaves some lacing.
It smells fruity and oaky, very champagne like. It also had some hops and bready malts.
The mouthfeel is light and lightly carbonated. It isn’t too dry. It has again alot of fruits, honey and basic malts.
It is a decent beer though perhaps not worth the price.

750 ml bottle purchased at BevMo in Vacaville, CA. Initial DMS, skunky nose, which dissipates quickly. Aroma has some booze, corny, grassy hop aromas. Smells a bit like a malt liquor. Mildly hazy yellow body with a small, quickly dissipating yellow-twinged white head. Metallic, lightly sweet, biscuity maltiness in the start and in the middle. Finishes a bit harsh and bitter with some ethanolic notes. Similar to a malt liquor, but this is more smooth and lacks the harsh fusels.
