2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BuckeyeSammy (514) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - AUG 15, 2008
Way over-priced at 12$. Fruity nose of pear, sweet toffee. Appearance is unimpressive, much like applejuice, without much of a head. Heavily carbonation full of spice, alcohol completely hidden. Awful name.

Pours light amber with a creamy white head. slightly fruity/malty aroma, with a light carbonation. taste is creamy, slight background fruit and spices, with a light bitterness. much stronger than its cousin. a very drinkable lager, and great with a curry!

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice golden color with a high champagne-like head. Aroma is banana, malt, and slight slight hop. Taste is banana up front, with corn, earthy, and hop notes as well. Finishes very clean, almost like a more effervescent Stella. I was also surprised at the low ratings for this beer. It isn’t fantastic, but it’s drinkable and smooth.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rodders (137) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAR 16, 2009
Was offered this at a friends house so I couldn’t take any notes. As such this is all from memory, which may have been altered somewhat by the 8%.
Golden with a large head which soon faded to nothing. Occasionly (I had several glasses) some of the yeast got in giving it a cloudy look. Aroma was of alcohol and citrus hops. Taste was more alcohol - too much in my opinion, although as I drank it became less obvious. Hints of citrus and not much else. It wasn’t as smooth as they made out either - the carbonation was a little bit prickly.
Not bad, but not something I’d choose to drink again when there are better examples of strong lagers out there. Like to see if aging does anything to it though, or try it with indian or chinese food.

Smooth lager taste leads to a high alcohol flavour which is slightly oily on the palate, not as good as I remember it

75 cl bottle. Rated on 12.10.2009
Murky stuff with disappearing head. Aroma feels a lot like basic lager with grainy malt and some fruity notes. Flavour has grainy malt, some fruits and hints of alcohol. A bit more smooth with the yeast. Better than I expected.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 crossovert (2791) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 4, 2011
750ml bottle, corked and caged. "Crafted in Belgium" "Champagne Lager".
Pours a pineapple/pee colored yellow ithe a big foamy white head that sticks for awhile and leaves some lacing.
It smells fruity and oaky, very champagne like. It also had some hops and bready malts.
The mouthfeel is light and lightly carbonated. It isn’t too dry. It has again alot of fruits, honey and basic malts.
It is a decent beer though perhaps not worth the price.
