Using only the finest imported Dark Munich Malt and Noble German Hops, combined with brewing in our authentic German decoction brewhouse, gives this beer King's trademark "true to style" aroma and flavour. This delicious beer is red-brown in colour, with a thick tan coloured head. The palate is rich and full, delivering a clean bready taste with a hint of toasted chocolate, while sporting elegant lace lines to the bottom of your glass. This unique Dark Lager is complex yet clean. Enjoy it with all European continental style foods and cheeses, or just as a well deserved cold one. Extremely flavourful, balanced and deliciously refreshing, our Dark Lager has to be tasted to be appreciated!

Pours deep amber with nice notes of caramel and malt. This then shows the same feeling of yeast and malts. A nice balanced finish.

Bottled sample from Piscator via Pootz. I am not huge fan of Dark Beer, but this one was decent. Glad I had it before the Half Pints Sweet Nikki Brown. Otherwise it would have tasted awful.

341ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with a tan head. Nose is chocolate, some dark fruit and a little booze. Taste is roasty malt, with kind of a rye bread yeastiness and some woodsy smoke. A little chocolate bitterness on the finish. Dry finish, but the body was a little light. Overall, this was a rather enjoyable dark lager.

341mL bottle from a sixer I got at my Liccboh. Pours a dark amberish brown with a small tan head. The aroma is toffee and roasted caramalts underneath metalic Noble hops. Seems weird and off at first but gets better the more you sniff. Flavour is very nice, starts out almost sour with grainyness then some good sweet malt body kicks in, with a bitter hop bite in the finish. Grainy malty awesomeness. Minor mocha hint to it as well. Leaves the palate wanting more. Super-sessionable, this is an excellent beer, and I’m glad it’s finally available in my area.

I tried this beer on tap on December 15, 2011 at "The Beerbistro" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a dark coca-cola brownish-black, with golden-brown edges and a cream coloured cap. Aroma was wheat, roast, caramel, toffee with some weak floral hints. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, toffee, and a hint of molasses and spice.
