Too yellow and too hoppy for an amber ale. Probably an APA. This was a good brew, and the best I’ve tried from this brewer.

Pretty generic ale. I thought coming out of the bottle this would be an APA instead of the Amber its listed as. Tasted like an APA at least. Some citrus bite to it, but not much. Whatever this actually is, i could drink a six of this and not be overwhelmed in the least bit.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 alexanderj (2850) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - OCT 25, 2007
Bottle; poured an orange-amber. Basically no head. Aroma of toffee and citrus; smelled like a pale ale. Flavor and palate both watery. Flavor was very weak; some caramel, grass and citrus. Pretty porous offering; first beer from this brewery.

Bronze to copper in color with a moderate tight bubbled light ecru colored head. A few bubbles of lace. Earthy green hops with a hint of toffee. A english scent only with american hops. Light caramel and cascade hops flavors. Again somewhat earthy. Citric and lightly biting linger. A touch more sweetness would brighten this up.

I didn’t think this was terrible, but it certainly seems pointless. A rather weak, bland somewhat hoppy beer (I couldn’t pin the style, either) with little malt character. A bit floral, a bit citrusy, a bit watery. I believe there was even a release party for this beer in Clarkston. Why?
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 badnewsbeers (2297) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 6, 2007
fucking horrible in every manner...pours light amber with medium head..aroma of chlorine, cleanser, dish soap, bleach, and some citrus hops (at least some sort of beer ingredients noted)...flavor is some sort of a nutra-sweet covered berry blended with tab soda...i wonder if crystal light was contracted to brew this awful beer..horrible, disgusting, vile...

12ozer. smell of citrus, flowers and hops. light clear ruby color. small head. weak hoppy, watery taste.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Pailhead (3449) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - JUL 19, 2007
Bottle: I was told this was a hoppy amber, but I’m not so sure. The aroma consists of cherries, caramel, grass, flowers, and a hint of alcohol (even though I’m guessing this isn’t very strong). It pours a transparent amber with a very small white head that quickly fades to a ring. the flavor starts with some light watery caramel and very faint fruitiness. The finish is loaded with floral and grassy bitterness. The mouthfeel is a little thin with minimal carbonation.
