2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hopscotch (7542) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 2, 2005
Bottle... Murky amber ale with a wispy, off-white head. Very good retention. The nose is of toffee, pineapple and stale white bread. The flavor is well-balanced with a taste of pink grapefruit. Medium-bodied and creamy with soft carbonation. Lengthy, moderately bitter finish. Decent English IPA.

Draft sample at MBGF. Hazy dark amber color with a medium frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Modeate citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body. Medium bitter flavor with a medium biiter finish of moderate duration.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 hopdog (7053) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2007
12oz bottle. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of juicy oranges, grapefruit, caramel, and pine, Tastes of citrus and just all around earthy. Tastes were a let down compared to the aromas.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ughsmash (5836) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 17, 2007
Bottled. Poured a deeper orange with the last pour imparting a mild, darker brown haze... left a thorough lacing as it went down. The aroma was somewhat pleasant... some berry and mild citrus sweetness with an English twist on the hops (perhaps Fuggles?).. hints of detergent too. The flavor had some unpleasant flowery sourness from the initial taste through the finish... English toffee and caramel sweetness at the core... dry floral bitterness as well. Dry on the palate with scathing levels of sourness and bitterness... not a good sign when my scores keep going down as I drink, and that when I hit "Add Rating" there will likely be half a beer remaining.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - APR 7, 2007
The label says Brewed with only the finest ingredients, which demonstrates that it takes a whole lot more to create a craft brew. It pours a murky orange body with a good-lacing but short-lived off-white head. There’s sweet malts in the aroma, but what dominates is the citric/floral hopping... which, oddly, smells a bit dirty as the beer warms. It tastes a bit soily, too, some caramel and orange sweetness offset by an earthy, floral bitterness. A bit watery, to boot. This is my first beer from this brewery; things do not bode well.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 18, 2007
I was told by the distributor "it’s pretty good". I’m an easy sale. Hazed copper color with a dark cream colored head. Hints of caramel, mild malt and old grapefruit. Reminds me of a more traditional IPA, but still quite bland. Quite thin in feel. Dry throughout the quaff. LIghtly woody malt and a dry grass flavor in the middle. Some citric kicks come in the finish and linger, with more a pure acid, than a flavor. Drinkable in a brew that begs to be paired with some food. Otherwise a dry English IPA, lacking much complexity.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - MAY 27, 2008
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Three Cellars in St Francis, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy golden orange brew with a thick and lumpy off-white head that slowly dissipates and stays thick throughout. Aroma of citrus zest, a touch of oranges, mild caramel malt and a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, well-carbonated with flavors of light caramel and apricot flavored malts, grapefruit and lemon zest with some toffee. Finish is semi-bitter that quickly disappears to a mild APA light bitterness.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - AUG 3, 2004
12 oz bottle, courtesy of Psychprof. Dark amber/copper, fairly clear, lovely caramel-meringue looking head. Fairly subtle nose, grapefruit, orange, caramel and some indefinable spices. On the tongue, as Michael mentions, quite bready, very malty but with just the right kick of citrusy hops. The citrus is more in the flavor; this has little acid and is extremely smooth. Yes, it is a bit thin, but no that’s not bothering me on this sweaty night. Very nice, thanks Michael!
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 thedm (4126) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 25, 2005
This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of foamy with a frothy top finely sized mostly diminishing off-white colored bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent and orange brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of hoppy caramel mild . Its mouth feel is initially tingly with a lingering tingly palate and a aftertaste. Its flavor contained medium hoppy with a light caramel note notes. An above average brew.
