COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our red ale or Amber ale has a medium body, is well balanced and finishes clean and smooth. Four different malts and Yakima valley hops are used in this satisfying ale.

12oz bottle: Nice deep red color, no trace of a head. Upon first taste discovered there was absolutely no carbonation, like it came right out of the primary fermenter. Consistency seems to be a problem with their bottles as I’ve gotten sixers that were very good, one’s that were infected and now I get this one that’s as flat as a pancake. Safest bet is to probably stop in and get a pint or growler fill.

Growler from the brewery. deep amber pour with a slight tan head. Aroma is a touch sweet and with a hint of malts. Slightly medicinal and a touch roasty on the back end. Solid

12oz Bottle. Completely messed up aroma of german chocolate cake frosting, pancake batter, palpable other pastries and faint malt. Pours a glowing red with a huge, growing foam of khaki. Flavor is rancid. A messed up, half lactic, half toilet bowl cleaner, with all sorts of messed up perfumed insanity. Dry, overly so. Infection city. Drain pour. Thin astringency in the back end. I was hoping for a nice malty Irish Red, what I got was an infected mess.

Bottled. Poured translucent reddish-orange with some floating and a short-lived beige head. The aroma picked up some caramel and medium-skinned fruits, I guess.. but there was an odd, pervasive astringency that rose above all else.. blech! The flavor didn’t do any better.. lighter fruits, lesser caramel, and the same odd alcohol all over.. thankfully short finish. Light-bodied and dry on the palate.. empty across the middle.. that astringency didn’t help either.

From the clearance cart at Discount Liquor. Red amber with a thin gray head that vanished. Mild aroma of sweet toffee malt and dough. Flavor is more of the same with a light bitterness throughout. Medium bodied with very little carbonation. Really not that bad as a session beer but I might not be saying that if I had paid full price.

Translucent and amber caramel in color with white phlegm lacing and some grey dust strung out on top. Premium nose chirps with pencil shavings and related erasures, along with peanut brittle, brisket and corn laden bisquick batter. Sweetened toffee cubes roll in far less antagonistically as the nose would indicate. Rosy caramel streams and sticky amaretto honey grahams. The palate sting and initial green tea twang subside with smooth brown sugar folded into melting peanut brittle, and impart a dry chestnut powder and sweet liquid talc flavor and feel in its wake. Medium-bodied, and if the second half of the sip would be more comprehensive, I’d be singing a more enthusiastic song. As it stands, the English toffee nougat maintains the common tempo of your everyday Irish red.

Bottle from Belo Vino, Ann Arbor, MI. Pours hazy reddish/brown with a moderate frothy white head that diminished quickly with fair lacing. Light roasted sweet malty aroma. Medium body. Medium bitter flavor with a small bitter finish of short duration. My expectations where not met.

Orange copper color with a moderate dark beige head. Sweet dark toffee aromas, a touch on the roasted side. Sweet caramel malt with some rancid nut flavors. Finish has a sweet sour character. Some off flavors throw this one a touch. Otherwise cross between an amber and brown.
