Authentic European Style Pilsner 4.8% alc./vol. True to style in every regard, this authentic Czech-style Pilsner is truely unique in North America. The beer is brewed with an all imported Plisner malt, all Saaz hops and a true Czech yeast strain. The brewery uses only distilled water and remineralizes it to deliver an authentic taste every time. The bright golden pilsner is a full-bodied, refreshingly great tasting beer. It delivers a soft texture, complimented by the proper balance of malt and Saaz hops. Its flavour begins with a pleasing malty or bready taste but is sufficiently hopped to impart a dry bitter tang with a very clean finish. This is a very inviting beer that compliments many foods and has enough body to compliment even the heaviest of meals. This complex beer provides a more flavourful yet true to style option to some of the more popular imports. Consumers are quoted as saying "there is not a beer in Canada that tastes like King Pilsner", or "this beer tastes like the true Pilsners in Europe" King Pilsner is considered Ultra Premium because no expense is spared to produce this world-class beer. It is made with the best of ingredients, and most importantly the water is distilled and the mineral content adjusted to match the water table of the beers country of origin (in this case the Czech Republic). This provides a flavour profile that only the truest of Pilsners can match. These ingredients as well as King’s proprietary process delivers one of the best tasting beers in the world!

This pils poured a slightly cloudy yellow colour with a quick living, bright white head. Scents include hops, corn, bread and grass. First swig was smooth with a slightly thin mouthfeel and flavours of perfume, bread and malt with a little corn. Finish is a little bitter with hop flavor flavor lingering.

Pours a bubbly, clear gold with an average size diminishing creamy white head. Sweet and hoppy aroma. Taste is a good balance of hops & malts with a decent bitter finish.

The main problem I find with pilsners is the water. The water is the most important ingredient in the style. There is no water issue here. A lot better than the 47 overall insists. All Saaz hopped, this is authentic. Really is. Great carbonation level, beautiful color (lacking a head though). Doesn’t stand out too much. I won’t remember this, but does pilsner urquell stand far ahead of this?

Pours golden with thick white head. Mild hop aroma. Tastes of biscuit, hops and honey. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice.

I don’t know why I expected, or hoped, that this would be good. Actually I do. It’s all Freaky Tiki’s fault that I keep buying these mediocre pilsners, hoping in vain that I will stumble upon that elusive four-star pilsner of my dreams. Surely to god there must be one great example out there? At any rate, this is not it. Pour is pretty, but pretty typical. Quick-fading head and no retention. Nose of grain and corn and faint noble hops. Taste of grain and corn and mineral water, although it’s got a nice lingering bitterness. But it’s weirdly not that crisp. Being kind of flat doesn’t help. Overall I’m with Tiki: this stuff is ok.

went camping and my brother in law throws a brown paper bag at me filled with pint sized beers and says, "Nate went to Canada and brought these back for your rateBeer ticks." I paraphrased a little but you get the idea. It was skunky.

473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a hazy golden colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet with notes of malt and bread. Taste is malt. Refreshing on hot summer days.

Bready aroma. Clear gold colour. Bitterness upfront with crisp finish. Flavour of biscuit, light malt, and hops. Medium body with lively carbonation. Quote pleasant.

Can shared at a tasting at the Beer and Beyond shop. Thanks Excellent Little Brother! Hazy gold with white film. Grainy aroma with apparent sazz grassy hops. Grassy taste, delicate bitterness with hints of grainy sweetness that then disappears in favor of bitterness. Light body, delicate fizz, bitter finish.
