Commercial Description:
Authentic European Style Pilsner 4.8% alc./vol. True to style in every regard, this authentic Czech-style Pilsner is truely unique in North America. The beer is brewed with an all imported Plisner malt, all Saaz hops and a true Czech yeast strain. The brewery uses only distilled water and remineralizes it to deliver an authentic taste every time. The bright golden pilsner is a full-bodied, refreshingly great tasting beer. It delivers a soft texture, complimented by the proper balance of malt and Saaz hops. Its flavour begins with a pleasing malty or bready taste but is sufficiently hopped to impart a dry bitter tang with a very clean finish. This is a very inviting beer that compliments many foods and has enough body to compliment even the heaviest of meals. This complex beer provides a more flavourful yet true to style option to some of the more popular imports. Consumers are quoted as saying "there is not a beer in Canada that tastes like King Pilsner", or "this beer tastes like the true Pilsners in Europe" King Pilsner is considered Ultra Premium because no expense is spared to produce this world-class beer. It is made with the best of ingredients, and most importantly the water is distilled and the mineral content adjusted to match the water table of the beers country of origin (in this case the Czech Republic). This provides a flavour profile that only the truest of Pilsners can match. These ingredients as well as King's proprietary process delivers one of the best tasting beers in the world!

341ml bottle, 4.8% a/v Tasted after reading a profile in TAPS magazine. Pours a very well carbonated light golden colour. Not a very large head however, could be due to poorly washed glassware (IE, With jetdry) The nose is very bready and surprisingly very little hops in the smell. The taste is another story, starts off with a chewy malt/bread taste which is rapidly transformed into a very nice bitter hops taste. From there the mouthfeel is above average and the aftertaste is delightful and stays with you. This is certainly not a beer for you if you aren’t a fan of hops. I however am a fan of hops, and so I am a fan of this brew as well.

Tap at Volo. Pale golden beer, thick white head. Aroma is great. Fresh pale straw aroma, sweet floral hoppiness and lots of soft pilsner malt. Sweet maltiness but with a crisp bitterness on the back. Soft floral hop flavour. It’s not a massively hopped pils, but it’s quite nice. Very floral with a soft herbal bitterness.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Yellow colour with big, frothy, white head. Malty, clean nose with fresh notes of hay, grassy hops and fruity hints of citrus. Clean, malty taste with grass, hay and fresh notes of hops in the finish. Fairly dry. Exciting is not really the word, but really well made and true to the style. Definitely a nice surprise.
