Commercial Description:
Authentic European Style Pilsner 4.8% alc./vol. True to style in every regard, this authentic Czech-style Pilsner is truely unique in North America. The beer is brewed with an all imported Plisner malt, all Saaz hops and a true Czech yeast strain. The brewery uses only distilled water and remineralizes it to deliver an authentic taste every time. The bright golden pilsner is a full-bodied, refreshingly great tasting beer. It delivers a soft texture, complimented by the proper balance of malt and Saaz hops. Its flavour begins with a pleasing malty or bready taste but is sufficiently hopped to impart a dry bitter tang with a very clean finish. This is a very inviting beer that compliments many foods and has enough body to compliment even the heaviest of meals. This complex beer provides a more flavourful yet true to style option to some of the more popular imports. Consumers are quoted as saying "there is not a beer in Canada that tastes like King Pilsner", or "this beer tastes like the true Pilsners in Europe" King Pilsner is considered Ultra Premium because no expense is spared to produce this world-class beer. It is made with the best of ingredients, and most importantly the water is distilled and the mineral content adjusted to match the water table of the beers country of origin (in this case the Czech Republic). This provides a flavour profile that only the truest of Pilsners can match. These ingredients as well as King's proprietary process delivers one of the best tasting beers in the world!

Nice saaz hops nose. Kind of pale-looking, even for a pilsner. Just the right amount of hop bitterness for a pilsner. Not quite enough malt to round it out. A good session beer, or you could always serve it with some extra-healthy czech food.

VEyr alike the Pilseners but somewhat like others. It has a Canadian distinctive flavour. Good foam and great green features in the light. Good beer in the whole. I like it for a while.

Blonde lager with a thin white head. Light herbal malt aroma. In mouth, a classy czech hop, with crisp malt, very classy. Hops do linger in mouth. Light grafruit notes develop later. Medium bodied.

20060916 Rerate - Draught @ beerbistro, Toronto: This is one I plan to revisit as I improve my palate, so it felt like time last night at beerbistro. The draught was excellent with a delicate carbonation and light head; aroma is still sweet with floral hops to me. Drinking a fresh draught sample in the proper glass does wonders, the flavour hits properly with the bitterness subdued and well placed with the malts taking a more prominent role to balance things out this time. Highly recommended, and a stunning representation of the style. 20060723 Original - 355ml Bottle: I’ll note that Czech pilsner is not my favourite type of beer, so this review rates quality to the style, not necessarily to my taste. Pours slightly cloudy with basically no carbonation at all. Sweet scent with hints of flowers and hops. Flavour hits strong on the hops from start to finish, quite bitter, almost reminded me of a proper IPA (not Alex Keith’s drivel). You can tell they’ve taken this seriously, and fans of the style won’t be disappointed.

Unfiltered draught @ C’est What. Semi-cloudy (like a lighter Hoegaarden) with tiny particulates, and decent lacing. Gren hops, citrus notes in the nose. Creamy mouthfeel, slightly heavy. Lightly malted, a bit undercarbonated. Good hop/malt balance.

Pours yellow/gold, with a white head. Aromas are hops, malt, and grain. Flavors are hops, flowers, and grain. I think this would be a good seesion beer. Thanks to radiomgb for this bottle.
