12oz bottle, courtesy of artusory. Thanks, Ryan! Pours a murky, dark-brown color; light-tan head with patchy lacing. Dense, milk chocolate and floral aroma; generous and sweet, with a bit of roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel: roasted malts and milk chocolate, in a velvety, lightly carbonated backdrop; slightly watery, but very drinkable and well-roasted. Medium, milk chocolate and roasted finish, with a hint of spice.

At the brew pub.....Black pour into a shaker with a nice tan head.subtle roasted malt notes. Same with the flavorwith a hint of chocolate, coffee and unfortunately water.but it did finish strong with a touch of vanilla amid all the other flavors. A solid pour. not exceptional or bad but good.

On tap at King...Dark brown/black color with a big billowy mocha head. Aroma is typical coffee and dark malts. Flavor is the same, coffee and roasted malt. Palate is a bit too watery, carbonation is adequate. Pretty tasty but unoriginal porter.

12 oz bottle. Falls short of the depth and complexity that a stout needs...something potentially wrong with this explosively fizzy beer...deliberate care must be taken not to fill your glass with foam. Head is somewhat acidic, almost citrusy, while the beer itself is flat chocolate and smoke w/ not much else.

On tap at the BrewPub
Pours a deep rich dark brown (almost black) with a light brown head. Roasted barley flavor with hints of molasses/caramel. Very smooth-drinking beer.
The batch on tap right now seems to be among the best of this variety from this brewer.

Dark brown/black body with a small tan head. The aroma is lots of coffee, dark chocolates and molasses. The flavor is coffee, milk chocolate, molasses, caramel and raisins. Medium/light body is soft with soft carbonation. Pretty good. I’ve been impressed with King lately.

Bottle, courtesy of artusory. Pours brown with ruby edges and a beige head. Very very nice roasty, mocha nose. Medium strength, quaffable brew. A good mix of raosted malt, chocolate, a hint of coffee and light caramel. Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation. Nice beer.

Slight coffee aroma. Molasses colored pour with a lethargic tan head that quickly dissipates. Medicine flavor up front with no after taste. Too watery with out carbonation. A rather uneventful porter. Keep thinking that this batch is contaminated. Expected better from King.

Poured a dark brown. Largest head on a beer I have ever seen. I thought that it might have been dropped at first, but then after seeing a second one realized that it is just that carbonated. Good taste, chocolate hints. Smooth for a porter. Nice beer.
