COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You will experience a hop symphony when drinking King Street’s IPA. A pronounced but pleasant tangerine and passion fruit aroma opens the door for a complex mix of orange, grapefruit, floral and spicy flavors that come in waves. This beer finishes clean and its medium body leaves you ready to enjoy another.

I had this on tap at the Rustic Goat. I was looking forward to having an ipa and this beer was one of my choices. It poured a nice mild copper with a lingering ivory head. Nice citrus combination of hops with mild malty notes. Very well balanced beer and nice sweet malty finish. Very refreshing beer well carbonated! Rustic goat presented this beer awesomly and I think this is one my favorite beers from king st.

Rich amber and copper coloured body with a frothy, five centimetre tall head. NOTE that upon opening the can, it exploded and beer went everywhere, and I probably lost 2 cL or so - I think this happened with my last King Street can as well, so probably common. Aroma of bright floral and grapefruity smells with some alcohol, malt and a hint of sugars noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppy flavour with some spices, flowers and quite a bit of grassy flavours, all with a definite yeast kick and some pineapple sweetness on the back end. Aftertaste shows a good blend of hops and malt, all with a nice earthy and sweet finish, good complexity throughout. Overall, aside from an exploding can when opened, a great beer and well worth bringing back home with you! I sampled this 12 ounce can purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 04-October-2013 for US$1.70 sampled at home in Washington on the other end of this fine country on 05-March-2014.

Growler pour. Crisp white head over golden yellow beer, moderate lacing. Aroma is lychee, juniper, vanilla, apple. Flavor is apple, bitter hops, lychee. Palate is nice, has some viscosity but the carbonation keeps it crisp. This is better a bit warm, I think. The hops is still predominantly bitter, the fruitiness understated.

Draft at Tap Root Beer and Mead Social: Poured a hazy yellow to orange with a cream off white head. Aroma is big piney hops, citrus fruits mainly grapefruit, and floral. Taste was very solid bitter piney hops, grapefruit, that was very well balanced with sweet malts and tropic fruit. Leaves the tongue tingling for more.

Clear amber color with ivory sheen. Floral, citrus hoppy aromas. medium bodied with average co2. Nice pine, floral hoppy flavors on an off dry pale malt base brew--good.

On draft. Clear amber/orange with a creamy off white head. Big hoppy aroma filled with citrus, pine, tropical fruit and flowers with a light caramel malt scent. Flavor is medium bitter hops, medium sweet malt but lots of hop flavor, well balanced. Medium body with average carbonation and a clean, semi-dry mouth feel. This is a great IPA, especially for a young brewery, highly recommended.
