Pour golden orange off white head. Aroma caramel, malty sweet, noble hops, quite sweet. Taste sweet grain, cereal, barley, biscuit/bready, grassy, nice finishing bitterness. MF medium to light crisp body. Overall after a mediocre aroma hits with a nice flavorful beer with good MF well done.

341 mL bottle. Copper-orange with a very small, filmy, off-white head. There is a hint of the expected maltiness in the nose, but there is also an almost alcoholic sharpness, and a very slight, vegetal, off-note. The flavour is better: mostly bready malt, and a touch of fruit. Perhaps a touch on the sweet side. Almost feels like an ale.

On tap at Cloak & Dagger - came a light, clear copper with a blazing white puffy head. Aroma is noble hops and a touch more sweet malt than their pils, giving the package a mild toastiness. Wet hay, fresh cut grass, toasted bread are all in the aroma, as well as a bit of diacetyl, something I get from all of Kings beers, but its not a deal-breaker. Flavour is, again, similar to their pils, but with a slightly more substantial malt presence. The hops come through, though. Medium bitter finish. Supremely quaffable, another really nice offering from Phil, and one I would not hesitate to order again.

[3355-20100821] Tap. Sweet corny grains malt aroma. Clear, gold orange body with a quick bubbly white head. Light sweet grains flavour mellows after a while. Light-medium body. Not wonderful.

341ml Bottle: A fresh bottle straight from the brewery, Im not even sure if you can buy these outside of the brewery as of yet. Pours a nice amber colour, ever so light streams of carbonation and what started as a pretty bountiful off-white head that quickly dissipated from my King glass. The aroma is heavy in that grainy, straw-like sweetness with elements of peach and lemon, much like I usually find out of the King Pils. Taste is reasonable enough, nice and biscuity, that light citrus freshness doing its job to balance and cut the crisp grainy notes. No doubt its a King, but Id have to say it doesnt quite reach my affinity levels for their others. Decent job, true to style.

341 ml bottle. Pours rich amber colour, with small white head. Aroma and taste are mildly malty and bitter, maybe a little on the sweet side of balanced. Id say right on the style.

Another solid King offering. Copper pour, Bready aroma, grassy hops. Nothing wrong with this. A good quality beer, but really nothing to rave about.

as usual King makes a nice version, nothing bad about it, but nothing really stands out. amberish color some foam dissapears quick. nose is grassy and somewhat sweet. flavor is similar. also found the mouthfeel a tad thin.

On tap at Beer Bistro. Slightly reddish tinge body with some lace. Great malt aroma. Dryish lager, balanced and easy drinking. Bang on for the style.
