On tap at Cloak & Dagger - came a light, clear copper with a blazing white puffy head. Aroma is noble hops and a touch more sweet malt than their pils, giving the package a mild toastiness. Wet hay, fresh cut grass, toasted bread are all in the aroma, as well as a bit of diacetyl, something I get from all of King’s beers, but it’s not a deal-breaker. Flavour is, again, similar to their pils, but with a slightly more substantial malt presence. The hops come through, though. Medium bitter finish. Supremely quaffable, another really nice offering from Phil, and one I would not hesitate to order again.

341ml Bottle: A fresh bottle straight from the brewery, I’m not even sure if you can buy these outside of the brewery as of yet. Pours a nice amber colour, ever so light streams of carbonation and what started as a pretty bountiful off-white head that quickly dissipated from my King glass. The aroma is heavy in that grainy, straw-like sweetness with elements of peach and lemon, much like I usually find out of the King Pils. Taste is reasonable enough, nice and biscuity, that light citrus freshness doing its job to balance and cut the crisp grainy notes. No doubt it’s a King, but I’d have to say it doesn’t quite reach my affinity levels for their others. Decent job, true to style.

Sampled at Toronto Festival of Beer. Reddish-copper. Toasty malts, nuts, floral hops. Lightly sweet and dry. Clean and easy-drinking.

Bottle. Light chestnut appearance. Enlivening aromas of strawberry and plum plus a vague chocolate background. Surprisingly bready flavour profile lacks refreshment, ending the bottle in disappointment.

If you like sweet this beer is for you. The aroma is strong and a bit ripe fruit like. The beer is very smooth and medium bodied and slightly syrupy. Aftertaste is caramelized fruit. Its good but not my favourite type.

3 finger head that last carbination going up fast every few seconds a little. Doiesnt look like a lager diff color and what not good looking. smell isa diff from usall lager’s. It taste sweet water like with yest and malt and stuff. Then the hops make ya feel full in beklly but not super alot just a bit. So if all Vienna lagers r like this then yeah otherwise diff lager kind heavy, maltyish, sweet n kinda gross is. its okay. cheer’s.

On tap. Clear dark gold with a white fizzy head. Aroma is caramel malt, slight biscuit, grass. Watery mouthfeel. Grain grass and honey. Makes it sound better than it is, but all and all, it’s a decent lager with a little added character from the sweetness and grass. Well done for a style im not crazy about. I ordered it because I was thirsty and it didn’t disappoint. Could have 6 of these on a hot day.

341ml bottle. Poured into pilsner glass; no head...only small lacing. Pretty orange-gold colour though (Lovibond 12/13). Scent is present but I can't define it. Not unpleasant. The taste is actually very unique! It starts like a typical lager but the finish rounds out to this vibrant metallic sweetness that really satisfies a thirst. Palate is soft. Watery. Good beer!
