2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
341mL bottle from the Lickbow singles bin. Nice to see such a new product reduced to the poor lonely singles bin. Pours a golden copper with a small beige head. Aroma is about as exciting as, um, er, uh, okay so the aroma isn’t much beyond some faint hints of malt. Flavour has some mild Munich caramalts, with a weird creamy and perfumey finish. Watery palate with moderate carbonation that I had to kill off by swirling my glass. Seems kind of like a macro to be honest, but a macro done well with the proper ingredients. Like the beer so many awful macro breweries are describing in their marketing while selling you yellow pissy fizz. Enjoyable despite being incredibly bland, glad I didn’t spring for a sixer.

[3355-20100821] Tap. Sweet corny grains malt aroma. Clear, gold orange body with a quick bubbly white head. Light sweet grains flavour mellows after a while. Light-medium body. Not wonderful.

En fût au Beer Bistro. Une proposition calquée sur la Rickard’s Red. Des arômes et des saveurs de malts faiblement sucrés et de houblons au profil métallique. Bof.

A orange amber lager with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet nutty malt with light mineral notes. In mouth, a smooth light lager with grainy notes, watery and boring. Bottle at National Capital Craft Beer Festival, August 18, 2012.

Pours a deep amber. Taste has a little perfume - the faintest hint but there is something there. On tap at beervbistro.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: Poured a light clear copper color Vienna with a medium foamy head with good carbonation and some light lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt with light caramel malt is good. Taste is dominated by light dry caramel malt with light gain notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing really special here.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Deep golden colour, rapidly receding white head that leaves no lace. Aroma is not bad: light toast and peanut skin. Palate is very watery, with more graininess than toastiness. Minimally hopped. Just okay.

Clear coppery slightly red pour without much head. Strong ’beer smell’ Very generic, lager, smells like a beer smell. Distinct mouth I didn’t expect from the nose. Light, dry and easy to drink. Some floral tastes in the middle that comes quick and fades quick. Bit of lingering hopps in the aftertaste. Not bad at all. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing really stands out either.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Light chestnut appearance. Enlivening aromas of strawberry and plum plus a vague chocolate background. Surprisingly bready flavour profile lacks refreshment, ending the bottle in disappointment.
