jjpm74 (3110), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Sep 16, 2005 From my cellar: I was debating whether or not I should rate this one as it’s an IPA that’s been sitting in my cellar forgotten about for almost two years, but when I opened it and found no tell tale signs of spoilage, I decided to review it. The pour is very hazy and on the golden end of the spectrum with some floaties present in the pour and a very small white head. Smells of grapefruit and very slightly breaddy, but otherwise in good shape. Tastes of grapefruit, pepper, but most of the defining hop characteristics have mellowed out. In all likelihood, this one was pretty decent fresh as the bitter elements that define a good hop were still there after two years. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA May 30, 2004 22 oz bottle. Pours a very hazy luminous orange, slightly bubbly, little head, unfiltered and bottle-conditioned. Nice but slight orange-caramel aroma with a hint of pine. Pungent and rather sweet-sour on the tongue, medium-bodied, hoppiness present but damped down somehow...like embers burning low, you know the fire was warm once, but is dying now. Just rather dull on the whole. Carbonation on the low side.
