2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 kevnic2008 (5718) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAY 20, 2013
Pours golden yellow with a frothy white head. A little bit more hops. It’s not bad, it’s just not a style that I prefer.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 RichardGretton (4020) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2013
Bottle@Lotus Blanc Restaurant, Phenom Penh, Cambodia. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly roasted and hopped, and the flavour is bitter with quite a degree of roastedness and yeastiness. Overall a nice strongly flavoured lager.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 mkel07 (2340) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - FEB 27, 2013
330ml bottle from Warners the Bay Bottleshop. Lively enough when poured into the glass and there is a big white cloud of foam. There beer itself is quite clear. The aroma is okay if not a little pedestrian. Simple standard pilsener flavour. A little dry on the palate.

Kingdom Pilsener is probably the best domestically brewed beer in Cambodia, and in fact, perhaps the best regionally brewed (if you like heartier beers).
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 GoufCustom (225) - HONG KONG - FEB 18, 2013
330ml bottle bought at Liquid Assets in Central. Pale gold colour; Razor thin head and white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Minimal lacing and notable carbonation; Strong small of butter (diacetyl) as soon as it was popped, plus sweet malt, light wet cardboard and glass; Light to moderate sweet taste of malt, apple, cider (acetaldehyde), butter, citrus and light glass; Light body, close to watery palate, taste profile is faint cider throughout with a slight trace of hop taste - not bitter at all - to close out, not impressive at all. Slightly dry after taste, very easy to mouth.
Comments: This taste more like a pale lager, slightly better than most cheap macros. The butter and cider smell and taste means this is not very well made, as previous comments also indicated as such. If the flaw can be righted, this could be a good beer. For now, just for geography ticks only.

Awesome beer. Always go down well. Can’t find any better in Cambodia. Totally different from the other beers out there. The other main stream Asian beers are all very similar, but this one stands out.

Bottle muled by Bryan, thank you sir! Clear golden color, large fluffy whitenhead. Aroma of straw and white pepper. Taste is plain and sweet.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Hateball16 (85) - - JAN 20, 2013
Bottle from shop in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Appearance: Pale golden, well carbonated, small bubbly head, didn’t last long enough for me to see the colour!
Aroma: Possible diacetyl, definitely butterscotchy, lightly toasted white bread, some bright fruit smell, eg green apple.
Flavour: Strange flavour, might be a bad bottle. On further inspection BB date is 23 Dec 2012, so not too far past but some oxidation may have occured that is ruining this beer. Bready flavours, no real bitterness to balance the malt profile.
Mouthfeel: Lacks the tinny bite of a good pilsener, carbonation is not enough to reset the palate, no balance, sweetish finish, and no aftertaste.
Overall: Probably not a fair representation as likely there is a flaw, but I don’t think I’ll try it again anyway.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 foxo82 (480) - Tamworth (via Leicester), Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2012
Bottle from Wine Lord, Constitution Hill, Birmingham. 5% ABV contrary to listing. Pale, small head with short duration. Aroma faint, sweetened, fruity. Decent fizz on the tongue to begin with. Initial strong bitterness which persists longer than expected. Not enough crispness to worry German or Czech brewers but this actually isn’t too bad.
