Bottled and one time draught, at several places in Cambodia. All things are relative and this is a relatively good beer for Cambodia - indeed probably the best of a dull bunch of blond lagers. I doubt it is Reinheitsgebot but it has a cleaner body than the res so I suspect there is less rice or whatevert. Needs more hop and the confidence to beat the rest on straight authenticity not just its story.

33cl bottle (5%) in Phnom Penh. Light golden with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, cooked vegetables with some fruit and a hint of alcohol. Some basement aromas and just a hint of hops. Quite disappointing, it’s drinkable, but not much more. (Produced 2012-03-07, maybe it wasn’t fresh enough?) Low carbonation and didn’t taste fresh. I forgot to give it a second chance...(2012-04-30)

Bottled. A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, brewing cereal, and metal, leading to a dry metallic finish.

Good beer. Not as crisp as I would want from a pils but what can ya do it’s Cambodia. It’s nice to taste malt in a drink instead of corn or rice. One of my regulars in the country.

Bottle @ Pizza Happy Herb, Sihanoukville, Cambodia!
Very nice label. Pale yellow color with huge, soapy white head. Very grainy nose, slight sweet malts and some sweet hops. Start with sweet malts, very grainy and artificial sweet. Middle part is grainy sweet, with strong aromas of pale malts. Artificial sweet finish with some sweet hops in the background.
