2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
I wouldn’t dream of drinking this dishwater any time other than whence Ive got a Jalfrezi chicken, bombay aloo and chana masala on the go, when, for some reason, this tastes "quite" good. Indians may be more known for their curry, the Taj Mahal and poverty, but they obviously picked up some beer making skills from "the Company" in the last century and before as this stuff aint bad. Amber in colour, fairly sweet and a little malty hoppiness. As I say, compliments a good ole ruby well, otherwise, wouldn’t touch the stuff!

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle at Kingfisher Cafe, Amsterdam. Smells eggy like a lager. A bit lacey, okay for a lager. "Dry" tasting with prickly mouthfeel.

1.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Skunky smell!! Nice bottles!!!! Taste is mildly tart, but skunk overwhelms it. Ugh. Pale yellow, pretty thin body. I’ll admit my bottle is very skunked, but this is just absurdly bad. I can’t handle it. The drain might be able to. I’ll save myself for bigger and better things.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
[063-20061014] 330mL. Metallic fish aroma, lightly fruited. Pale yellow body with a quick white foamy head and no bubbles. Tastes faintly of wheat and berries, otherwise it’s quite one directional with it’s alcoholic, beery flavour. Creamy clean palate, ok aftertaste. Comes together overall but I don’t like the metal in the aroma.

Extremely pale, almost watery. Huge skunk aroma, and cheap watery flavor. Really lacking any character.

Bottle. There are certain beers that are always perfect for me with certain foods. Kingfisher is my Indian food beer. Crisp, clean taste, no bitterness to get in the way of flavorful spicy food. Can’t imagine having this beer any other time, though.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(330 ml bottle at Indian restaurant Maharadja, around the corner from Malz Mühlen, Köln) Clear golden color, white head. Fresh, but thin, malty scent. Malty and sweet, with some fruitiness, taste. Low bitterness, perhaps none. Sweet aftertaste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours to a dark golden color with thin off-white head, and some lacing. Has the typical grainy aroma, yet not to the point of skunky, like many cheap import lagers. Taste was light and decent, with no real outstanding aspect, and the finish was slightly bitter, yet smooth. Overall, this was better than many of its brethren I’ve had.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A mild tasting, non-offensive, incredibly uninspiring beer. Only a perfect selection when one is eating spicey Indian curry dishes and you just want something to help wash it down. With something this neutral you can’t really go wrong offering it to a friend but, unless the friend is straight off the boat from Bombay, he won’t be impressd. Someone pass the Nan.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle: Yellow with little quick diminishing head. Watery texture. Little malty & hoppy notes. Short finish. Typical boring lager!
