A fully matured beer with an exceptional clarity, and has a pleasantly bitter taste.

I was taken by the almost complete lack of an aroma. If you sniff very deeply you can detect a minimal amount of sweet malt but no hops to speak of. The appearance is golden with a medium head. The flavor is a little sour with an unpleasant grassy bitterness I presume is from hops. On the plus side you can taste the malt especially in the finish. Palate is above average for the style. Overall its not that great.

Clear golden w/ creamy thin white head. Grassy skunky with a hint of malt aroma. Thin and slightly bitter with little flavor. Though this was never a great beer, now that it is brewed by Olde Saratoga, which I guess is owned by Kingfisher(as is Mendicino), it has less flavor.

Detestable excuse for a beer. I am disappointed about what passes for beer in India.

Served cold functions well as a washdown for Aloo gobi Masala.

Bottle: About what you can expect from an Indian beer. Not much in the way of anything, but not offensive at all.

A distinctly sour lager, pours a nice color - although tinged with green, almost as if algae were a main ingredient. A good purchase when cheap, and it is bland enough to be paired with a curry, but not good enough on its own.

This smells of lager cheap cereal grains. Looks like every other pale lager Ive seen. Semi-sweet grain flavor and a weak chalky mouthfeel. No real bitterness detected, and slightly skunked. I never would have expected this to be a bad beer. Im sadly disappointed.

Had it with Indian food. A bit on the bitter side. This one is not so good. Itís a very standard, on the dull side, pale lager. But if the food is very hot, itís pleasant..

Bottle. Green means dead in the water. skunky grassy mossy taste in a straw yellow. Only quenchable with Indian food!
