2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled, the version brewed in Saratoga Springs NY. Pours a pale clear amber with a lacy white head. The nose is citrus, slightly grassy. The standard lager mouthfeel. Some spicy hops malt and fruit in the taste wity a dry, lingering finish. This beer just has more hops than you would expect in a lager. If you were looking for an IPA, but the tavern had only Bud, Coors, Miller and this - choose this.

2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
First time tasting the macro euro lagers sold as Indian beer. This one pours a light pale straw colored lager with enormous soda pop carbonation bubbles...weak head lasts seconds and disappears.....nice aroma floral saaz/noble snap in the aroma, like Beck’s but with undetectable malt. Weak body, sandy, dry crisp mouth feel.....Fast bland but clean flavor, a wee bit of lemony hop mixed with drying brewer’s rice tastes and overpowering carbonation...fast dry clean finish. A very bland, dry rice beer tarted up with some pilsner aromas.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2006 Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours yellow/golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, water, sweet malts. Flavor is bad, didn’t enjoy not even macro worthy.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. Pours a yellow color with a little head. It’s a light bodied beer with a sweet taste to it. It’s a little too thin for my tastes. Good, but not great.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Yellow in color with a small head. It was very carbonated. There was a very strong aroma of yeast. It was a little skunky in taste.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml bottle poured apple juice with a shook-up 7-up head. Very clean, crisp lager. Tiny amount of skunk to both the flavour and the smell. I have a bit of a cold, I may re-rate if I notice a difference when I am sans sickness.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Ok just poured and opened India’s #1 selling Lager, Kingfisher Premium, and I must say it smells damn fine, poor head though.
Quite a pale beer, also known as ’Blonde’, and I can taste the hops over the malt. I had this in the freezer for a good 10 minutes before cracking and while it has a distinct flavour compared to our usual Aussie beers, I wouldnt want it to be any warmer. Would probably be quite sickly straight out of a 4 degree fridge, but at around 1 degree its not bad.
I’d drink it again.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2006 Kingfisher had a grassy, citrus , and a light hoppy scent to it. It had a malty taste when supping it, and the lingers for a little bit in the mouth. I had another bottle of this the other night, and it had an rather unpleasant, bitter finish. Had it ice cold. Decent lager, and a had a rather colorful label. Recommended ice cold.

Bottle. I was afraid that this would be skunked like the prior Indian beer’s I’d had. But, this was better. Clear and more like a mexican pilsner. Little head and very little bitterness. It did have a funny, almost metalic, after taste. Perhaps it spent too long on a container ship.
