2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 chriso (7065) - London, - DEC 22, 2006
Bottle, at The Paradise Indian restaurant. You eat curry. You drink lager. Pale, cold and wet. End of story. Almost indistinguishable from Cobra. Not sure I can bring myself to drink this on its own to get a clearer view of its intrinsic qualities. Any Eastern promise is negated by the fact that the UK version is brewed by Shepherd Neame. Which is a little surprising as I see the Indian company is part of the Scottish & Newcastle empire. More surprised that I had not rated this before. So even the office Christmas curry yields a tick.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 mile (1459) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 3, 2012
Bottle. Golden, small and fully diminishing head. Light, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, faint grassy hoppyness. Body is light, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, some cardboard and metal. Finish is short, malty and lightly sweetish, cardboard and metal. Not very enjoyable.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 Lagerboy (420) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 30, 2012
Green bomber. Clear lager yellow, big foaming white head settles and fades. Seaside aroma, tide out. Bready sour citrusy taste, greasy and oily (must be the water in India) . Lively carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Fowl finish (pun intended). Indian industrial swill. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 WheatKing (197) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 28, 2012
I’m surprised this has been rated so highly... when you crack open one of these, you’ll find a rainbow of oil on the top... you’ll get to feel the effects the next morning, even if you’ve only had one. Tastes terrible, too. Avoid at all costs.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 maxwelldeux (333) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAY 22, 2012
It’s got the nice level of skunkiness that you want from a good lager. It’s not great, but it’s decent.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 SODAK14 (215) - Rapid City, South Dakota, USA - MAY 19, 2012
2.2 might be a tad on the high side for this mediocre beer. Reminsd me of a local brew, not a microbrew but a regional beer from the 60’s. Something my my dad and his buddies might drink. Hmm...Falls City beer only a little better.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 kermis (995) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAY 19, 2012
Bottle. Clear golden pour with white head. Light malt and corn aroma and flavour with a little hop bitterness. Drinkable but boring..
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 whitebear (38) - - MAY 18, 2012
Tried this at an Indian restaurant. I nice simple lager pilsner style beer with thicker mouth feel. I feel it is a pinch too heavy as a food pairing beer.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20 Slegar (24) - Green bay, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Goes mighty fine with curry. Sort of thicker mouth feels a bit out of place. If I could find it at beer store i would buy it.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 vipinvelp (348) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 14, 2012
At restaurant in Delhi. Clear bright yellow color with white foam head. Bit caarbonated. Good normal pilsener taste and with the temperatures outside a good drink. Hope they used clean water. (New Dehli 201202)
