bottle. Pale straw with small head. Brewed in NY? Odd. Corn lager with light hops. Not impressive.

BIère de soif sans aucun intérêt mis à part qu’on est en Inde et que donc c’est moins risqué de boire ça que de l’eau du robinet :)

Kingfisher is a great beer, it is not easy to get in the Netherlands. I really enjoy the taste and it has one of the most beautiful looking bottles. The beer itself also looks great.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
The beer pours a crystal clear gold colour, the head brilliant white, average in size with a frothy consistency with fair lace to coat the glass. Malt nose, the start is slightly sweet, top cadaverous, finish is bitingly acidic, sparsely hopped, dry after taste. Garbage

2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
The #1 beer of India. Which is a country to be avoided by the serious beer drinker, unless you need a vacation from your favorite brew. I’ve been there 4 times, cycling different parts of the country over the years, and yes, one does feel the need for a cold brew more than occasionally when pursuing this strenuous hobby in an often hot climate. Unfortunately, options are limited. Frosty cold, a Kingfisher or two provides the illusion of a refreshing beer... beyond that, it ain’t much.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
(Based on notes from 02182014) 330ml bottle, brewed under license by Shepard Neame, UK, 4.8% abv. Clear light yellow colour, small fizzy white fully diminishing head, virtually no lacing. Aroma is moderately malty with notes of grain and cookie, light to moderate herbal hops. Flavour is initially light bittersweet and slightly acidic, turning into a light bitter finish. Medium body, dry texture, lively carbonation. Not very interesting but quite refreshing and even a bit tastier that a lot of the bulk lagers, which is something of an achievement for an Asian one albeit English-made.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
From a 22 oz bottle at an Indian restaurant in Las Vegas. Light, very ricey, and somewhat sweet. Slightly bitter. Highly carbonated. A bit overpriced for what is essentially lawnmower beer, but at least now I can say I’ve had it.
