Canned (brewed by Bombay Breweries, a part of UB.) Pale yellow. Ricey alcohol aroma. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel. There’s sugar cardboard and rice pudding. The sweetness hides some of the alcohol. No bitterness. Not good in anyway but perhaps above average as far as Indian beers go.

Bottle brought back from India courtesy of my brother-in-law. Pours gold with a white head. Smells of citrus, bitter hops, malt and peppery. Taste is citrussy with some sweet malt underneath. Not bad for what it is. Definitely not a malt liquor.

Golden color. Smells softy; the taste is round as well, not aggressive, alcoholic of course. Quite common Strong Lager (or Malt Liquor?), even if not the worst.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Green 12oz can from a wine shop in Bangalore. Slight hop aroma, slight grain flavor. Clear, filtered, adjuct-laden boring crap beer from a beer factory. Unfortunately it’s about all you’re going to get if you’re in South India for a somewhat palatable strong beer. Slightly better than regular Kingfisher, but that’s not saying much.

Bottled, acquired in Delhi, India. Borrowed from Sully’s rate because if fucking funny ‘Marvellous malt liquor from India. Note these oxymoron’s. Malt liquor isn’t marvellous and beers from this part of the world can’t be either.’

Bottled (bottled 7 nov 2005). Yellowish golden colour, big white bubbly head, lacing. Strong malty and hoppy nose with hints of sweeet caramel and some alcohol. Also some grain noteable. Flavour is sweetish malts along with hoppy finish. Feels very fresh in flavour. It might be true what Tbone_ wrote that this should be had as freshware. Mine got it from the shop with a friend and then flight to Finland. Alcohol probably at around 5-6% I would guess. Also some weak hints of maize.
