Smells sweet and delicious- if only it tasted that way. Flavor is a curious mix of lighter fluid and Coca-Cola. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of Nav’s Bangalore imports from under the stairs. Lager looks with a syrupy body, sustained foam retreating to a halo and oozing tendrils of glycerine when upended in a glass of water. Nose-wrinkling aroma of high alcohols, marker pen, stale gingerbread, elastic, grass cuttings and rotting fruit. Stale gingerbread, saline, licked envelope and glycerine flavour. Nasty beyond the threshold of drinkability. Scores a generous 6 from me.

Couleur jaune orangée, petite mousse blanche. Nez leger de malt et houblon. Gout très doux malté et alcool. Bonne pétillance. Fin de bouche avec note d’alcool.

Clear golden beer, white head which disappear very fast. Some earthy notes are felt at the begin, and then some malt notes follow. In palate has a light and watery body, bitterness coming from the malt and that’s all. The malt flavor is lost, the strong flavor is lost and the aftertaste is watery.

Like normal kingfisher but with a strong alcohol and unpleasant aroma, cornlike. Avoid.

500 ml can bought at a Nepalese grocery store somewhere on Temple Street in Yau Ma Tei.

Light golden honey yellow colour; One quarter finger head with soapy white foam which fades in 15 seconds; Small sticky lacing with active fizzy carbonation; Very sweet smell of malt, with strong sugar syrup, light honey, nectar, pineapple, light bread and hint of grass; Pretty strong sweet taste of thin malt, with moderate corn syrup, slightly caustic alcohol, faint wet cardboard, light lemon, liquorices and light grass; Full body, viscous with oily shin and quite thick palate; Mouth feel is somewhere between Malt Likka and Euro Strong Pale. Like the Bear Beer 9% Extra, the syrupy sweet taste is very notable but not cloying, actually quite restrained. Maltyness is thin, fusel taste is fairly light, very alcoholic but not burning. It’s cheap booze but not an all-out monster; Hoppiness is grassy nose hint, lemon and light grass in taste, and noticeable liquorices for some low-fi astringency pebble-like finish; Wet after taste. Sweet and slightly boozy to mouth.

Comments: This is not as terrible as I feared. Sure there are adjuncts in the mix, but the result is more like a mellowed Bear Beer 9% Extra, with somewhat mellow sweetness without the former’s fusel nastiness. Very few off-tastes and almost on-par with Saint Omer 8.0%, easily enjoyable and recommended.

Poured straw with no head. Aroma of chemical infused turbo alcohol. Light body, flavour of nothing much and no aftertaste.
