omhper (19972) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 29, 2011
Bottled at Noodle, Mumbai Int. Airport. Clear pale golden, rich creamy head. Fruity sweet corn aroma. Sweet with light-medium body and rather soft mouthfeel. Lots of boiled vegetables and sweet peas. No hops, not noticable bitterness. Mild, but far too sweet to be refreshing and with way too much boiled vegetables.

Bottle, 65cl, tearoff cap. It pours a clear, pale golden body and a small, white head. The aroma is grainy and grassy, not unpleasant, but really boring. Some wet cardboard. Thin on the palate, with grass, pale malts, some wet cardboard and dms notes. A faint bitterness shows up towards the end. Sure, it’s drinkable, I guess it works in the Indian heat if ice cold, but besides that, it’s a waste of ingredients. 121124

330ml bottle from Metro Spirits Wholesale Liquors, Bangalore. Glycerine test: positive. Wildly fizzing gold with a fast-gone tuft of suds. Pretty standard adjunct lager nose with sweet grain, grass, metal, cooked corn and souring rubber like notes. Smells like ’Bud’. Palate offers up paper, rubber and glue subsiding into more pleasant vanilla wafer and toffee popcorn from the rice, corn, wheat, Honey Nut Loops and whatever else they put in there. Strangely more robust than its strength. Not the ’Emperor of Good Times’ maybe but Certainly not revolting either. can imagine it being pretty refreshing given certain climatological parameters. Increasingly slimy and dead. Drink fast and chilled.

Bottle. Live rate from my hotel room in Mumbai. Pours clear gold with a white head. Clean pale malts, grains, hints of grass, and a quick clean finish. As pale lagers go, this one quite good.

Can - Smells of sourness not citrus, hay and sweet fruits. Color is pale gold minimal head. Taste is caramel malt and no balance of any other flavors other than an unpleasant sweetness and that sourness I smelled. Not very good even by Indian beer standards.
