Golden-brown. Earthy, slightly nutty aroma. Toasty and slightly tart, with an extracty finish. Erk....a beer that has promise but tastes a little unprofessional.

A very dark brown ale with a thin dark moka head. In aroma, a nice caramelly malt with fruity notes. In mouth, burned caramel, light hops nd light acidic points. On tap at KBC, Sept. 29, 2007. It was renamed Arrogant Ale, in honour of the Arrogant Worms, who were in town during that period.

Sample glass at the pub, draught. Auburn pour light head moderate fine carbonation. Typical KBC alefruits - assertive frontal impact but lacking in kaliedescopic intensity you will find in more natural tasting Ontario beers (Sgt Majors, Hockley Dark.)

The pour reveals a clear reddish brown color with a thin white head that diminishes to a ring of lace. Aroma of burnt caramel. Flavor of burnt caramel, the hops are very weak in this bitter, it’s simple and gets boring real fast. The body is light with a watery texture and lively carbonation.

Dark brown color, sweet fruit and malt taste. Just a wee bit of bitterness in the after taste. A good beer in a place that has a warm atmosphere.

Bu sur place (20 oz). Couleur brune rougeâtre, bon collet. Petit arome d’houblon délicieux, légèrement fruité. Petit goût d’agrume et de malte plaisant.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark golden brown, small brown head. Mild malty aroma, a little sweet. Nice taste - light but watery, but despite that a lovely sweet malt taste. Lightly hopped. Hints of fruit. Very drinkable. Another decent pint from this charming brewpub.

Dark brown, moderate off white head. Interesting aroma, fruity malt, some citrusy notes of hops, hints of lemon. Alcohol in the background. Flavour is lightly bitter, fruity sweet malt with a light bitterness. Palate is light but acceptable.
