MrManning (1403), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 24, 2008 On tap- Decants deep golden/amber with a frothy white cap. No lace left behind really. Nose is biscuity, doughy, and fruity pale malts with a very fresh, floral and spicy hop component. Almost pine like floral hops with good earthy malts combine and lead into bread and licorice with lots of caramel towards the finish. Slightly bitter in the finish with lingering caramel and dark bread. Pretty good. HogTownHarry (3129), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Feb 21, 2008 Draught. At the brewpub. Clear bright light amber with a solid beige creamy head. Dry aroma of roast caramel malt, quite a bit of fresh grain character (somewhat oily), light herbal bitterness. The taste was sweet and tangy, fresh cereal grain balanced by mild hops. The body was average, a bit chewy on the palate, light squeaky astringency with a slight caramel aftertaste - overall fairly decent, perhaps a tad too much caramel for my taste. GregClow (2285), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 12, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Now known as Dragoon’s Breath (note the extra ’o’), and contract brewed for KBC at McAuslan according to the menu. Deep golden-amber. Aroma of earthy hops and caramel malt, and flavour of both as well, with a short hop bite in the finish. Reminds me of McAuslan’s St. Ambroise Pale Ale, actually, although not quite as good. tomthompson89 (1037), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 27, 2007 yellow body decent foam, hoppy nose, kinda floral, good malts kinda sweet with a great bitter backbone, good beer wish it was still bottled beerbuzzmontreal (2666), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 11, 2006 Clear copper pour with a thin white head. Good aroma of floral hops with caramel. The flavor is less enjoyable than the aroma, the hops and caramel are still there but it feels flat. The body is light to medium with an oily texture.
