(printemps 2006)

Draft at brewpub. Copper. Aroma painfully sweet! Underattenuation! Thin and soapy. Drier than it smells with clean hoppy finish. Unfortunately weak. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the brewery. Very good beer. Aromas of caramel, and grass. Taste has a sweet start, with bitterness taking over for a long finish. Palate is velvety, with a medium body.

great aroma of fruits, and citrus. Just a wallop of bright UK hops. Great malts to round out the flavor with some great bready notes. Really good EPA.

On tap at the brewpub. Bright clear orange amber, short lived white head. Aroma is floral tropical fruit, but quite muted. Light caramel and tropical fruit flavours, medium bitter finish. A nicely balanced, but quite light, pale ale.

Best beer I tried at the brewpub. Pretty solid all round but not to interesting.

On tap at Brewpub, rating #200! Exciting. Solid amber colour, white lacing. Grassy hop aroma with some malt. Oddly quick and thin to begin, though a decent hop and malt base gives a solid finish. Honey accent. A pretty good beer overall.

Objectively speaking: More or less a St-Ambroise pale ale clone with diluted flavours.
I like: Floral and citrusy hop flavour might well include cascade as well as the English varietals. The small head manages to cling to the glass. Light bodied and quite drinkable (besides the exagerated effervescence)
I dislike: Ridiculously high CO2 level conjures large bubbles that wash out the palate and take most of the room. Not quite rough carbonation, but too harsh for the subtle flavours that contained just the softest toasted maltiness. Also relatively sweet for its drinkability aspirations.
