Cask- Deep hazy amber/brown with a creamy head with good longevity. No real lace though. The aromas aren’t really all that in your face, but they show muted malts, leafy greens, with fruit and a sort of dank room quality. The taste brings forth earthy, faint caramel malts with some bread crust and lends to almost sour apples and iced tea. Creamy, slightly sweet finish. Strange offering really, but enjoyable enough that I had a full pint.

Dark golden brown with a light tan head. Strong malty aroma with light flowery bitters. The beer doesn’t lend itself to being too complex and the hand-pumping makes the flavours fresh but of course a bit flat but not in a bad way. The lack of carbonation makes it very smooth. The flavour has malty sweetness and light fruity hop hints a light sourness and light bitterness.

Cask. At the brewpub. Quite a look to this pint - murky, near-muddy brown with a small creamy mottled tan head (3+). The first thing I picked up on the nose was malt extract - evidently most of their brews are extract, but for all that, not bad - anyway, aroma of sweet malt extract, some light but pungent spice/yeast, quite sweet. The taste was dry and leafy-bitter, but very fruity - reminded me of a blend of unfiltered apple juice and black tea. Sugary, still and mildly astringent on the palate, a little of that extract tang in the aftertaste - just okay, really, even for cask.

Cask at the brewpub. Deep amber with a creamy head that sticks around for the duration. Caramel and earthy hops on the nose. Soft mouthfeel. Flavour is nice and subtle, a bit nutty, will mellow hops in the finish. Not spectacular, but a decent quaff.

The pour reveals a cloudy amber color with a thin white head. Medium intensity aroma of earthy hops, not too exciting but it gets worse in the flavor where the earthy hops are still there but feel weak and boring. The palate is light and creamy and the carbonation is gentle.

Mahogany-brown with crisp white top. It gave fine contrasting appearance. Mild, sweet, grainy aroma, creamy nose with light roast character as it warmed up. Full bodied, sweet malts, brown sugar, creamy texture. Mild soft roast. Not as clean as I wished to be. Slightly sour at the edge.

I had it on cask. The color is dark amber with a beige head. The aroma is of caramel and some hops. What was missing is something in the taste, it left me with a watery feeling. I will try it again to see if it was just this one time.

A very refreshing pleasent summer beer. Very mild in taste dispute being 6% in alcohol. Has a slight hop betterness, with a slightly sour taste. Aftertaste is somewhat wooden, likely from the cask. A nice beer... to bad the rest of the beers don’t match up, the White Tail is worse than vitually any macros swill
