(printemps 2006)

Minimal aroma of malt. Black and opaque appearance. Syrupy flavour, with some malty and notes. Thick on the palate. Would not buy this again

Cask from the pub. Pours dark amber, almost cola-like with a nitro-like foamy head that lasts. Aromas of dark fruit, some cola syrup. Not that much else. Not getting much bitterness. Creamy in mouth. Ok, but not one I’d rush out for again.

Cask at brewpub. Served with a sparkler. Reddish brown, thick head. Malty, worty aroma. Smells like a kit beer. Soft, fruity palate rich with red plum. Fun. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the brewery. Very tasty. Aromas of caramel, plum, and nuts. Taste is sweet, with good length. Palate is almost creamy, with a thin-to-medium body. Amber, with a frothy head.

Draught at the brewpub. Seemingly hazy amber colour. Good stable creamy white head. The flavour is earthy, hint of grain. Low carbonation.

Cask- Served a dark amber color with a creamy head that faded very slowly to good lacing. Malt & coffee aroma with fresh grain & fruit mixed in. Slightly sweet with roasted malt and a clean finish. Medium body, creamy smooth, well balanced. The 6% ABV is well hidden. Great cask ale, very satisfying.

DuffMan (5242) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 4, 2010
Cask, at the brewpub. Clear orange amber, dense quarter-inch frothy head. Very fruity-yeasty aroma, muted caramel. Light palate (surprising for the listed ABV), softly carbonated, sweet caramel and apple fruit, low reedy bitterness. It’s just nice to have a cask ale on the menu!

On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown with decent beige head. Pleasant nut and malt aroma. Nutty malt, with some spice and a mild, tangy bitterness. Enjoyable stuff!

Cask- Deep hazy amber/brown with a creamy head with good longevity. No real lace though. The aromas aren’t really all that in your face, but they show muted malts, leafy greens, with fruit and a sort of dank room quality. The taste brings forth earthy, faint caramel malts with some bread crust and lends to almost sour apples and iced tea. Creamy, slightly sweet finish. Strange offering really, but enjoyable enough that I had a full pint.
