Mar 20, 2005 Dark amber/brown with a respectable creamy beige head. Coats the glass a bit. Muted fruity hops in the aroma haunted by vaguely acidic notes (a fellow drinker said sulphury but I don’t think that is quite right. Flavour is malty with a fruity quality to it, very well balanced but a slight acidity showed up here as well - not unpleasantly so but it had the feel of an unexpected guest that didn’t quite belong. Not as good as I remember but nice.

Dec 11, 2003 Respectable caramel apples mashed to a beautiful, creamy, buttery feel...Orangey hops respond in the back but fail to remain as long as I would have desired them...A nice real ale, with not much conversation...

Sep 29, 2003 Cask conditonned or nitro pour???...nice nutty nose, thick nitro head, but to the taste, deception...good malts in the mouth, with a barrel woody taste...but also noted acidic aftertaste which wouldn't go away. Going bad?

Aug 18, 2003 Dark brown w/ ruby hue. Thick, creamy head (looks like nitrogen but it was cask). Light fruity, malty aroma. Light feel. Somewhat malty (caramel) fruity (cherry?) flavour. Earthy, moderately dry finish.

Feb 28, 2003 (Cask conditioned) Pours a thin, white head and a dark amber body. Hoppy nose and perhaps some citrus. Nice smooth hop flavour, well balanced. Enjoyable. Not overly bitter finish...

Apr 15, 2002 The taste hit me like a kick in the nuts. The taste stuck in my mouth for hours. I did not enjoy it at all. The after taste is nauseating.
