| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 11, 2003 Respectable caramel apples mashed to a beautiful, creamy, buttery feel...Orangey hops respond in the back but fail to remain as long as I would have desired them...A nice real ale, with not much conversation... jbrus (4863), Delft, Netherlands

Going bad? HogTownHarry (4000), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 21, 2008 Cask. At the brewpub. Quite a look to this pint - murky, near-muddy brown with a small creamy mottled tan head (3+). The first thing I picked up on the nose was malt extract - evidently most of their brews are extract, but for all that, not bad - anyway, aroma of sweet malt extract, some light but pungent spice/yeast, quite sweet. The taste was dry and leafy-bitter, but very fruity - reminded me of a blend of unfiltered apple juice and black tea. Sugary, still and mildly astringent on the palate, a little of that extract tang in the aftertaste - just okay, really, even for cask. Sammy (3981), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2006 A nice brownish tinge with a head and a process of lace, however near watery with bitter and metallic taste, and significant malt in the finish. Its drinkable, but the formula works better on tap Radek Kliber (3942), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 18, 2006 Mahogany-brown with crisp white top. It gave fine contrasting appearance. Mild, sweet, grainy aroma, creamy nose with light roast character as it warmed up. Full bodied, sweet malts, brown sugar, creamy texture. Mild soft roast. Not as clean as I wished to be. Slightly sour at the edge. jerc (3888), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 20, 2005 Dark amber/brown with a respectable creamy beige head. Coats the glass a bit. Muted fruity hops in the aroma haunted by vaguely acidic notes (a fellow drinker said sulphury but I don’t think that is quite right. Flavour is malty with a fruity quality to it, very well balanced but a slight acidity showed up here as well - not unpleasantly so but it had the feel of an unexpected guest that didn’t quite belong. Not as good as I remember but nice.
