Lubiere (3182), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Sep 30, 2006 A golden bubbly cider with a thin white head. A slightly funky apple and gueuze aroma. Clear and bubbly, this lambic cider is quite interesting, with sour apples and Brett notes, melding well with sweetness. A bit overcarbonated. Medium bodied. On tap at KBC, Sep. 30, 2006. Quevillon (1273), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Jul 15, 2006 Bu sur place (20 oz). Beau jaune avec un peu de mousse. Très légé comme arome, mais bien. Bon goût de pomme, sec et pétillant. Sammy (3022), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 6, 2006 Drinkable cider as very strongly malted, with dextrin as well as sugar. Lace in glass. Replacement for ice tea, the cider never breaks through the sweet safety net.Bit of sharp cider smell but mostly malt.Apparently, you have to ask for this three times before they will serve it to you, and I still needed the local to almopst get out of his stool to pour himself.
jerc (3102), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 1, 2006 Deep yellow body with a tiny white head that fades away. Apple flavour with light tart acidity, and a dry aple finished that leaves a lingering apple character. Fairly decent mainstream cider with some character to it. Light appley aroma. Average palate. Quite pleasant. Servers don’t really point it out, so be sure to ask, I think this is available year round. tupalev (2285), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 6, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Medium yellow, small white head, some bubbles. Some sweet apple aroma. Taste is kicked up a few notches though, very sweet apple taste - not tart at all. Body is a tad syrupy (could have used a bit more carbonation). Refreshing, would make for a great summer quencher. Like drinking slightly carbonated sweet natural apple juice with the added bonus of alcohol. A very solid cider and a revelation - easily Ontario’s best cider.
