MrManning (1415), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 24, 2008 On Tap- Pale yellow pour sits under a short lived fizzy cap. The nose of of stale pale malts, spent grains, apple juice, and a weird chemical like tin aroma. The taste weird. Like a tinny, dish soap with grains and pale malts with a weird fruit component. I asked my server for another glass, cause I thought this one had dish soap in it still, but the second tasted the same. I could only finish half of my second glass. Ouch.
HogTownHarry (3141), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Feb 21, 2008 Draught. At the brewpub. Slightly cloudy yellow-gold with a small head. Aroma of diacetyl, sugar, and stale weediness. The taste was papery - stale and slightly harsh, all cheap sugary grain (not just the normal malt extract tang, this was worse). Slightly thick bodied but still and harsh, I had trouble choking it down, frankly - pretty cheap stuff. blankboy (2499), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 19, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Pours a clear yellow-gold with a small diminishing white head. Mild aroma of buttery toffee, grain and faint hops. Flavour: Yikes, there’s something borderline wrong with this, like there’s soap in it or something. Light to average bodied. I don’t like this at all. GregClow (2301), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 12, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Clear, bright golden colour. Aroma is fruity, with a cheap malt character and negligible hops. Thin body with very little carbonation. Flavour is watery, with nothing off the top, faint malts in the middle, and a dead finish. Not good. beerbuzzmontreal (2674), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 11, 2006 Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Aroma of biscuity malt with weak hops. The flavor is concentrated on biscuity malt with some mild, floral hops that remind me of saaz. The body has a light to medium thickness with a dry mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not bad but gets boring after a while.
