MrManning (1429), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 24, 2008 On tap- Tapped a golden liquid with a one finger short lived head. Pale malts and grains fill the nose, and lead into grass and a similar apple aroma that I found in the cask offering. Taste is of sweet grains and pale malts with only the slightest hop coming through, giving way to some biscuit. Finishes a bit thin and seems to be more of a pale lager than the cream ales I have sampled in the past (eg. McAuslan Cream Ale). I’ve heard they are going to start selling this one through the LCBO somehow, and I have to wonder why.
Cartoon_khaki (1110), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Mar 29, 2008 Golden colour with a very faint haze and a white head. Aroma has a grassy hop fruit mix with bread yeast tones. The palate was medium. DerWeg (398), Tronna, Ontario, Canada Mar 26, 2008 Fruity almost like dry pear cider mixed with Heineken - indicating a bit of hop skunk that I can detect, After the Dragon’s Breath it took a while to settle into this but it is a pleasant-feeling ale I could drink for fun. DougShoemaker (2560), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 26, 2006 Slight malt nose, clear amber, tiny white head. Faint taste of malt, thin, tiny bitterness. Ordinary stuff. mds (2111), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 24, 2006 Draught. Golden with no head. Smells of grainy water and is generally non-descript. Moderate carbonation and the flavour is pretty much grainy and bland. Sweet corn, watery, flavourless. Not too good.
