3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 madsberg (7570) - Søborg, - JUL 25, 2009
Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Off white dense head. Sweetness, herbs and flowers in the aroma. Flavour is sweet, flowery and herbal and has disthinct notes of pine and caramel. Medium to full bodied. Quite dry. Ends on a nice balanced bitterness.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 JorgeLee (331) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2012
Cask at the Golden Eagle, W1. Caveat to this review as I don’t think this beer was served in optimal condition - it wasn’t very nice. Pale golden colour, but dominant flavour of earthy, musty hoppy bitterness. Would love to re-rate as it seems my review is way off track, but this is what I had...
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ungstrup (24026) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 14, 2011
Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of flowery hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and elderflowers.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 30, 2010
bottle. Slightly hazy amber-golden colour, tiny head. Fruity-hoppy nose. Light malty base with lots of hops, some of it rather medicinal. The malty base does not really balance the hops, it’s bitter-sweet, but I don’t really like the medicinal bitterness of the hops.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 pivnizub (7240) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2010
Bottle (thanx to Q.-D.!): A bit unclear, copper coloured, no head to speak of; moderate dry hoppy and fruity nose with a little metallic touch; moderate to robust dry bitter flavour, a little sweetness underneath, light to medium bodied, quite soft; lingering hoppy and fruity finish - maybe with traces of liquorice. Good........
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - APR 28, 2010
(bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour without head. Moderately sweet malty and fruity, slightly floral and woody hoppy aroma. Quite bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Dry and soft malty taste with an aromatic hops character with fruity and woody, also slightly floral accents; dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish. Balanced and quaffable stuff. 28.IV.10
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2010
BC from Bath Waitrose. Muddy and swirling with bits; settles down into a red-orange glow with a cream halo. Slightly agricultural aroma dappling with wet earth and cowpat until the lily, cinder toffee and juicy orange hop kicks in. Sloppy but enjoyable; layered earthy malts, toasted nuts, orange and grapefruit, chocolate liqueur, wood. Quite a skilled blending of herbal English and juicy US hops; yeasty dampness and nuts freshened up with hop zest. Building shampoo bitterness not dissipating with the swallow. Rustic and good.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ladnewton (917) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 25, 2009
Cask on 25th September 2009. Brown/amber with smoth thin white head, holding up well under brisk consumption. A pleasant malt backdrop paved the way for a sharp, hoppy burst that is perfectly balanced by the malt. The hop was grassy, not citric, and cheesy notes were detected. A long, ticklingly hoppy finish on a textured mouthfeel. A very pleasant surprise and one of the best beers I had drunk in the fortnight ending 25th Sept 2009.
