Cask at Tapping The Admiral, London on 5th March 2012. Gold with white foam head and partial lacing. Yeast and caramel aroma with some sweet cheesiness. Main taste is mainly floral with grassy hop notes and berry fruits. A bitter finish ensues, and the mouthfeel is light and engaging on a medium body.

50cl bottle of Kingstone Gold from Real Ale Ltd, Twickenham. Poured a brilliantly clear amber gold leaving lots of sediment in the bottle, even adding this left a decent looking pint. THe billowing white head soon faded. Aroma of lemon and grain; sweet honey taste with some citrus. Clean and refreshing.

’Kingstone Gold’, cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton. Dusty blonde with a pure white foam. Honeycomb and lemon lockets aroma; flavour distinctly honeyed and lingeringly biscuity with a good bite of bittering hop. Clean and crisp but ends up tasting far too like H+L Lockets for its own good.
