Pours clear with a head that very quickly goes. Aroma, not clear sure what it actually is, almost non-existent. Fizzy carbonation, the acidity not making it easy to drink. More of a champagne feel to this, bitter/sweet sticky finish

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Leighton (4100) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2010 Bottle. Pours clear with a few bubbles. Sweet fruit aroma. Lightly sweet, champagne-like flavor. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Finishes sweet, lightly fruity. Really like champagne, which I don’t like.
1.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 ComradeK (530) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - JUL 10, 2010
660ml bottle. Pours far too clear and pale, thus it looks like little more than slightly yellow-tinted water. There is no way to describe the aroma of this but disgusting. It smells a bit like a poorly-maintained public lavatory. Thankfully it does taste a bit better than it smells, although not a whole lot. The main flavour is artificial pear, with an unpleasant burning acidity, and a sickly sweet finish, presumably engendered by the presence of phenylalanine. I wish I’d spotted who made this before bought it, as it may have prevented me from doing so. Also, just as a point of order, this is called Kingstone Press PEAR Cider, and is thus a perry, not a cider.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Thylacine (517) - Tasmania, AUSTRALIA - FEB 16, 2010
Bottle - Actually a Perry. Clear with little colour. Low to medium carbonation. Quite a soft / smooth mouth feel. . Sweet pear/apple flavour. Slightly dryness in the finish but mostly sweet. Pear more obvious in the after taste. Quite nice.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2009
Bottle, from Rhythm & Booze in Brigg. Pale gold, quickly dissipating fizzle of head, gentle condition. Fruity aroma with hints of apple, esters and bile, quite soft and sweet in the mouth with a gentle passive/agressive citric feel that seems unable to decide what fruit it wants to be, instead just going for a bitter sweet mess, lingering sticky sweetness in the finish.
