1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 imdownthepub (7494) - Banbury, - JUN 14, 2006
Bottled, Pasteurised, 500ml, brought back from Hong Kong by Lucy (Thank you). Greenish yellow with fizzed white head. Watery pale lager, I want to say nice things because it was a pressy, but really it is impossible. Thin malt, rice, grain flavour, no hop notes at all. Slight taste of ammonia, surely not really cats pee. Bad.

Green bottle, bought in Shenzhen. This completes my collection of 6 beers from this brewery. I think I will be the only person on ratebeer to have 100% from this place for a long time, and there isn’t any reason for anyone else to compete with this, really. Looks like all the other beers from this brewery except this one has a god-awful skunk that none of the other beers have, most likely because they used a green bottle. Thin, watery, with a little bit of grain/hay that calls itself a flavor...worse than Kingway Super Light.

Cat's pee for sure (interesting to see someone else use that term - Joris). Always in a permanent 'skunk' phase as if the brewer purposely places each case out in the summer sun for a week. It sits in your mouth like it's waiting for the next train and has the flavor of watery carbonated beer sweat. I live in Hong Kong and on occassion, try beer as it is handed to me. Needless to say on the two seperate occassions, I backhanded the guys who gave me "Kingway Draft".
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 JorisPPattyn (6747) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 29, 2003
Clear-yellow. White head, immediately gone. Nose of grain,... mineral water if that's got a smell. Vaguely vegetable. Taste: a bit cat's pee (=skunky?), rubber too. Vaguely malty. Vaguely beery, even. Mouthfeel: VERY watery. Nothing else from the Eastern front. "jazz88", I found this beer in Antwerpen! God knows who wants to import this...
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 jazz88 (2396) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 8, 2002
Bottle. The skunk returns. Smoother on the palate than other Kingway beers. Slightly sour. I found this in Hong Kong.
