Can. I was waiting for the now familiar Kingway skunk, but it never showed up to the party. The skunk was gone. This beer was smooth but not very interesting. I could tell it had more alcohol.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2006 [Canned, 5.1% (v/v)] Clear golden, quickly vanishing head. Surprising hefeweizen-like yeasty banana character. Sweet with mellow, sticky mouthfeel, medium body and near no bitterness. The yeasty character makes it relatively worthwile compared to other Chinese rice lagers.

Canned. Oh yeah. Keep bringing the crappy Asian lagers. I don’t know why some Chinese breweries name their beers after the gravity. Apart from meaning nothing to 99% of people who drink it, it’s really a poor way to classify brews and shows a lack of creativity. You know the coolest thing about these Kingway beers? The fact that they all cost like 35 cents each at the supermarket near my hotel. My co-workers think I’m an alcoholic at this point, but I kicked ass in our biness meeting today so it’s a’ite. Yup. Yellow, quickly dissipating head, more sweetness compared with the 11 and 12. Is that...a slight hint of peppermint? Are those actual hops I’m tasting? Maybe a little bit. Hmm. Still not so great, but Kingway is fun to drink for some reason.

Kingway breweries best attempt. Watery again (like generic beer in the US). Your Palate will feel like a urinal waiting to be flushed. Lame. Flavor is week week pilsner with a little less carbonation than normal. I've travelled to Shenzhen several times and 'fresh' from the brewery doesn't make a difference. Kingway, just doesn't seem to care. If in China, Harbin (bottle) is a safer bet.
