wrxkaboom (15), juneau, Alaska, USA Sep 18, 2006 One of the cheaper offerings of the Kingway Brewery. By far not one of the beers that the Kingway Brewery is proud of since in Shenzhen it is the cheapest Kingway beer. The Aroma is downright offending because of the recycled bottle, and the taste does nothing to improve on the other suspect Kingway offerings. Its nothing that needs to be tried.
Rukasu (7), USA does not count Apr 23, 2007 Though generally among the cheapest Kingway beers amongst Pearl River Delta supermarkets, it is surprisingly one of my favorite of the Kingway family. Light color, and very little smell. Not good by any means, but certainly not the worst beer I’ve had in China. jbrus (4350), Delft, Netherlands Jan 24, 2007 Bottled, label said 3.6% ABV, 10’. Aroma is grainy with a hint of veggies. Light sweet for a lager, start light bitter but this almost completely disappears. Grainy, cardboard start. Finish is light malty with a hint of citrus. Refreshing but totally unintersting. Technically ok. aceofhearts (1374), San Francisco, California, USA Aug 26, 2005 Bottle, with one of the cooler labels I’ve seen on a crappy Asian lager, plus it was in - shock - a non-twistoff bottle!! I pretty much agree with Oakes’s rating here (grainy, grassy, hint of starfruit - dude, how the hell did you come up with starfruit? But yeah, it’s there). But he starts out at 0.5 and works his way up, and I’m nicer so my rating is higher. Oakes (7047), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 15, 2004 Golden with large bubbles. Aroma is mostly gariny, slightly grassy. Flavour is sweet, quite grainy with a hint of starfruit. Not awful as pale lagers go, but certainly uninteresting.
