Blond, top-fermented with a mild flavour and easy finish. Great to try, to enjoy on a terrace or to accompany your meal. Delicate balance between fruity, honey and the three types of hop that give Hermelijn character.

33cl bottle at home; enormous gusher! Hazy amber with an gigantic white head. Pretty sweet with some bitter tones. Citrus, tropical fruits, alcohol, hay, honey, herbs and spices. Hops weren’t very present. Dispite the gushing start, still an ok brew.

Bottled from Speciaalbierpakket.nl, BB 07/2015, large sample, tried to serve in a trappist glass but hopelessly failing cause it gushed onto the ceiling. Thanks Kinhem with your above average bottling sugar. Hazy to cloudy yellow to golden color, huge rocky slight off-white head, leaving some soapy lacing. Aroma of sweet honey, slight spicy and soapy hops, obvious coriander (which could also cause the soapy notes), slight signs of oxidation. Its not really that bad actually. Bit sweet in taste, medium bitter. Finishes with quite a lot of spicy bitterness and dryness. Honey and coriander fighting, hops not really present. Medium bodied, meduim carbonation (despite the gushing). Slightly out of balance and a bit too much spice and dry. -0.3 for the annoying gushing.

Bottle. An unclear, golden beer with a dense, off-white head of moderate size. It’s lighlty chalky on the nose, with fruityness and some malty sugary notes. It’s chalky and lightly yeasty in the mouth too, with a pleasant carbonation level. Medium body. Citrus peel and some bitterness in the flavor, both initially and in the end. Not very good this one. 140117
