Golden colour with a long lasting white head. Citrus, dough and some alcohol on the nose. Flavour are candy sugar, citrus, pine, dough and orange peel maybe. Not too sweet, it has a good balance. Full body with an almost oily mouthfeel. A good beer, but I can’t help thinking that something is missing. Maybe a bit boring.

75 cl bottle, from a trade with Cunningham. Hazy golden beer with a beautiful lasting white head. Fruity spicy aroma, citrus, bread, pepper, coriander, grapes, yeast notes, caramel, lemongrass, banana notes. Fruity flavor, yeast, citrus, grapes, apples, lemon, pepper, coriander, some alcohol, banana, sweetish, grapefruit, mango notes, floral, bready notes. Nice mouthfeel and with a nice citrus finish with spices, bread, lemongrass, elderflowers and some caramel. Rather understes if you ask me...

Bottle@Home. Not much aroma but I detect citrus, herbs and some dough. Hazy, yellow, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, citrus, yellow fruits, herbal, nice bitterness. Full, warming. Nice balanced and very Belgian.

Flaske fra Polet: et fantastisk skum som varer, og deilg, typeriktig aroma. Smaken er også helt på topp - typisk tripel uten å være for søt, men fyldig og med en god blanse som fremhever gjærens kvaliteter, tilsatt en delikat antydning av humle. De 9,5% sklir ubemerket ned. Et herlig øl for å nyte i kontemplativ ro. Denne skal jeg kjøpe igjen.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours a clear, golden body under a minimal-sized, dense, off-white head. The aroma is sugary and fruity, with some alcohol, a faint spiced note and some citrus hints. The flavor is on the fruity side, with a touch of citrus peel and some alcohol, giving a certain warmth on the palate. Full-bodied and semi-dry. Lasting fruity finish with a touch of spices. A decent one indeed, but not among the classics. 120302

Pours a golden color with a nice lacy white head. The nose is malt, yeast, dust and alcohol. The flavor is a crisp boozy malt flavor with hints of leather and a little wood.

Slightly cloudy darkish yellow with a pale head. Aroma is heather honey, peach blossom, sugar cookies, apricot. Slightly acidic on the palate but with sweet fruit overtones. Taste is fig jam, dried apricots, mandarin, orange zest, hint of honey. Damn good Tripel.
