3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 ClubGonzo (2717) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 9, 2011
On cask tap @ Nabokjelleren, Bergen. Slightly hazy copper body with medium, enduring off-white head. Nose is roasted malts with hints of hazelnuts and caramel. Taste is sweet caramel malts with some roastiness. Very low carbonation, even for a cask tap. Some floral hints in the aftertaste. An OK Xmas ale, but not too impressive.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 larsga (5325) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2011
Gusher. Huge beige head. Hazy reddish amber body with strong carbonation and small floaties. Earthy spicy aroma is sort of flat. Dry-sweetish roasty earthy chocolatey taste with fruity resiny notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, faintly oily mouthfeel. Dry roasty nutty spicy aftertaste with earthy chocolate notes and faint mealy coffee grounds. Nice, but unspectacular. (0.75l bottle, Fenaknoken, Oslo. Batch #42.)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20 jikvig (269) - NORWAY - DEC 11, 2010
Aroma; Some chocolate, coffee, also some christmas spices; cinnamon and allspice
Flavour; Same as the nose, but not that focused.. Focus on the cinnomon/coffee notes. Really like the carbonation aswell
Summary; I like it, I just wish there was more! I guess the 6,3% version got more kick to it. A good beer, non the less!
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Rune (6125) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 5, 2010
750ml bottle, brygg nr.42, from Fenaknoken. Light brown head that stayed well and left spotty lacing to the glass. Partly cloudy, dark-brown body. Aroma displays chocolate and caramel malts. Fine blended taste of brown malts, raisin hints and dusty hops. Rounded bitter sweet tail. Medium bodied. Pity that it is not more widely distributed in Norway. Would have been perfect with our traditional Yuletide food. (at my hotel room in Oslo, 25.11.2010).
