3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Holmen1 (1077) - NORWAY - OCT 3, 2012
Fra cask på Cardinal: enormt flott skum som varer helt til bunns. Minner om iskaffe (selv om den ikke er kald), med en tørr avslutning. Mye og god smak med bare 3,7% - god kombinasjon!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 visionthing (1659) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 19, 2012
On tap at Håndverkerstuene. Pours reddish dark brown with al light brown head. Aroma of malt, lightly roasted. Sweet and malty with a slightly bitter finish. A bit watery, but quite nice considering it is only 3,7% ABV. Very drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cunningham (2972) - Halden, NORWAY - NOV 5, 2011
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2012 Bottle from Meny at Grønland, Oslo. Hazy dark brown colour with a beige head. Roasty aroma. Moderate dry taste with hints of light coffee and some caramel. This beer would be perfect with 1 or 2 mor alc%
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 gunnar (3597) - Sandnes, NORWAY - OCT 31, 2011
Cask at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours dark brown/amberish with a big creamy beige head. Aroma of light roasted caramel malts. Taste is weak and mild, light sweet caramel, not offensive in any way. Watery mouthfeel. Not my kind of manna this one.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Sigmund (4210) - Tau, NORWAY - OCT 22, 2011
Cask at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Dark ruby colour, low off-white head. Roasty aroma, notes of cold coffee, hints of ashes. Dry flavour, notes of cold coffee and ashes again, the mouthfeel is rather thin. As the Biblical manna that God "miraculously" provided for the Israelites in the desert (actually a natural plant secretion, according to more recent research) was reported to be "sweet like honey", I expected Kinn Manna to be a somewhat sweeter and richer beer than this. Drinkable of course, but not Kinn’s most exciting offering.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 daje (1291) - NORWAY - JUL 7, 2011
Tapped by Espen Lothe at release at Haandverkerstuene. Dark brown, almost black color, big espresso head. Aroma of different malts, roast, coffee. Taste of vanilla, caramel, herbs and coffee. More bitter than I expected, which is nice. Could have more of these :)
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Palme (2252) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 14, 2011
0.75l bottle @ Naboen, Bergen shared with ClubGonzo. The Manna pours a deep brown/dark mahogany body with a nice beige creamy head. Light roasted aroma with chocolate hints. Also light acidic, and malty. It has a light creamy to watery mouthfeeling and it’s average carbonated. Flavors are not extreme in any way but nice and malty with a slightly floral touch, and there is definitely some hops in here but in a subtle way. It ends quite dry and medium bitter. All in all this is a really nice mild ale. Can’t say I’m surprised cause Kinn has really taken a step up and is about to become one of the best breweries from Norway.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 larsga (5325) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 12, 2011
Medium tan head. Hazy deep red body with light carbonation. Earthy roasty caramelly aroma with dusty minty coffee notes. Dry roasty chocolatey taste with earthy notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry roasty dusty earthy aftertaste with grainy rye crisp bread notes. Some butter, too. Very nice. Highly drinkable. (0.75l bottle, Meny Grønland Torg, Oslo.)
