Big 3/4L bottle: Fawn dense head, unclear red-brown dark body, some rims inside my mug. Too big bottle and too big cap. Dark sweet malts to the nose, grain and chocolate and hints of coffee, or mocca, tiny hint of tar or pitch. Tongue gets much of the same, dark sweet malts, chocolate, mocca-coffee, hints of nuts, a little almond dipped in tar. Slightly mealy, modest carbonation, normal body. Finish with choco-malts, mildly-stoutish flourish way with bitter undertones. Btl abv3.7% #542 Tapped5feb2014 B@Kjeller5 Tromsø - was not necessary for me travelling far to find it; the beer came up northwards to me. Fortunately, coz it tasted well!

Bottle, courtesy of inbreak. A clear, reddish dark brown beer topped by a small, dense, off-white to beige head. The aroma has quite a lot of coffee and chocolate, there’s roasted malts and some dried fruits as well. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Quite dry, with the same coffee and chocolate found in the aroma. Lower levels of dried fruits. Not much hoppy bitterness. Long roasted finish. A really pleasant one, easy drinkable and tasteful, well worth a revisit. 140418

Big 750ml bottle, batch 528, carried back home from Meny Oslo City and shared with Elisabeth, Finn and Stefan. Fawn-coloured head slowly fading over a slightly unclear, red-brownish coloured body. Inviting grainy chocolate nose. Flavoured with dark chocolate malts, nuts and a nice roasted bittersweet end. Thin, however, not diluted in any way. Well crafted (at Finns in Tromsø, 09.04.2014).
