UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 Old rating, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Fyldig lukt med preg av mørk malt, humle, røsta kaffi, mørk sjokolade, litt brent karamell. Mild smak med preg av mørk malt, humle, røsta kaffi, mørk sjokolade. Middels bitterhet og lengde. Mild utgave av Svart Hav, veldig god og lettdrikkelig, men eg ville nokk "oppgradert" til storebror kortid som helst om valget stod mellom desse to.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2011 Big botttle, shared with Hege@Tilt, Oslo. A lightly tanned fingerthick head, upon a dark brown to near black body. Nice smell of fresh dark bread, creamed coffee and mild cocoa. Soft rounded taste of gently roasted dark malts. Bread notes, some mild coffee, and a subtle, balancing bitterness. Creamy texture. Well-bodied for 3,7% ale. Elegant and harmonious.

Bottle, courtesy of inbreak. A clear, reddish dark brown beer topped by a small, dense, off-white to beige head. The aroma has quite a lot of coffee and chocolate, there’s roasted malts and some dried fruits as well. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Quite dry, with the same coffee and chocolate found in the aroma. Lower levels of dried fruits. Not much hoppy bitterness. Long roasted finish. A really pleasant one, easy drinkable and tasteful, well worth a revisit. 140418

Tapped by Espen Lothe at release at Haandverkerstuene. Dark brown, almost black color, big espresso head. Aroma of different malts, roast, coffee. Taste of vanilla, caramel, herbs and coffee. More bitter than I expected, which is nice. Could have more of these :)

Bottle from a Meny supermarket. Very dark brown. Rich malt and chocolate nose, goes on in the flavour. Sweet, not sticky. Pleasant chocolate flavour, but the low strength means it lacks an edge.
