3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 75cl. Thx Tarjei. A big, creamy, off-white head leaves lacings as the clear, golden beer is drank. The aroma is fruity and citrusy with some pale malts and a touch of yeast. Dry cookies, citrusy fruityness, pale malts and a little bitterness in the flavor. Medium body, smooth. Ctirusy peel in the end. It feels a bit strange in the roof of the mouth, can’t really point out what it is, but besides that it’s a nice and refreshing beer. 101229

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. Pours a hazy, velvet-like orange body with a great-looking solid white retention. Gotta love the looks on this one. Aroma is yeasty citric notes with hints of grapes and water melon, and even some barnyard funk lurking around in the back. Nice. Taste is more straightforward, but still good: pale malts, smooth grassy hop tones and a mellow, bitter finish. Smoothness - both in taste and palate - is probably the key word here; all in all I think this is a very good variant on the English bitter, and another good beer from Kinn.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (75cl) from Fenaknoken, Oslo. Batch 54 (BB 7.1 2012). Hazy, orange/amber colour. Huge head with excellent retention, producing a sculptural foam. Dusty/cellar malt aroma (with a hint of rubber), exhibiting a nice ’Britishness’ (associations to bitter and 80 shillings). Mild, malty, dusty taste, highly drinkable, good balance. Medium body, average carbonation. Pleasant, long bitter-juicy aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fenaknoken. Pours a hazy medium dark yellow colour, with a decent white head. Not much of an aroma, a bit fruity hops mostly. The beer has a quite light palate, almost like a lager, good carbonation. Taste is dominated by a certain fruityness, not so much malty, a very distinct bitter aftertaste. Could have had a bit more balanced finish compared to the taste when in the mouth I think. It probably could use a higher level of alcohol. Overall a pretty decent beer, but not nearly worth the price you have to pay for one of these bottles. I will try out a different style next time.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Pours amber with a slight haze and a small off-white head. The nose has some British hops. Medium body, a dry fruitiness and some dusty British style hops leaving a massive bitterness. Rather close to style. 290111
