75 cl bottle vintage 2012 @ PBF VIII. Batch 259, BBE 2014
Aroma has cocoa, some dark chocolate. Flavour has salty licorice, hay notes, soy sauce and some herbal notes. Too thin and salty but nice anyway.

lusikka (5352) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 23, 2013
750 ml bottle @ PBF 2013.
Pours a black colour with a small head. Aroma of roasted malts, mudcake, dark chocolate and grass. RIch flavour of roasted malts, licorice, grassy hops, honey, almonds and unfortunately metallic notes. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The off-flavours ruin the show. Otherwise this would be a great beer.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a brown head. Aroma of vanilla, sweet syrup, roasty malts, dark chocolate and coffee. Bottled at PBF, thanks KnutAlbert! Near black, minimal head. Rich aroma of pear and licorice. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Sticky honey, licorice and coffee. Warming finish with marked coffee bitterness. Interesting flavouirs, but on the sticky side.

Mørkt og nesten skumfritt. Lukten av rødvin er fremtredende. Smak av vin, kaffe og sjokolade. Bitter humleavslutning. Årgang 2011. Melkebaren.

Et spesielt øl. God lukt, minner litt om vin på lukt. Mørkt fyldig øl med et hav av smaker og ettersmak. -dyrt.

2011 vintage, nip bottle. Poured medium-deep reddish-brown with a short, but well-retained dusting of khaki head. The aroma picked up a whole lot of well-roasted coffee paired with vanilla, licorice, and a kiss of cherry skins.. molasses came through with warmth.. big, but well-balanced. The flavor found burnt and lightly sour coffee throughout, with a lovely impression that stuck on the finish.. some licorice, vanilla bean, and dark fruit also down there.. a little tangy on the finish, and I loved the final kick. Medium-plus bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. almost too burnt, but it held on. Nice one.

Bottled 2012 and shared with (and courtesy of) ClubGonzo. Has a deep reddish brown to black colour with a small light beige head. Roasted aroma with coffee, dark chocolate, leather and oak. Delicious. Lots of roast in a complex and sweet flavour with lots of dark chocolate, port, coffee, rubber and alcohol. Rich and silky mouth feel, and has a medium to heavy bitterness. A fantasticly complex and powerful ale with a good bitter touch.
