Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a sweet lasting, vinious, warming finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily to creamy, carbonation is flat. Bottle states best after 2015, where is my patience..

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Jet black body, clear with ruby edges. Hard to make any foam, the effort gives beige shortlived.
Aroma; black roasted malts, strong prunes, dark fruity chocolate, dough notes.
Taste; black roasted malts, sour barley, liquorice, salty liquorice candies - leading to a finish of cocoa, coffee, dusty hops, black syrup or as black prune marmalade. Impy body, soft carbonation, somewhat dry but fruity too.
Ridiculously big bottle for an imp-stout. Should’ve been 25-33cl.

Backlog rating. Bottle at CBC Clerkenwell, Gunnar tasting. Thanks to Gunnar himself for this one! It pours a deep dark brown color with a small beige head. Aroma is roasty, with notes of toasted bread, grains, coffee beans, cocoa powder, dark fruits. Taste is roasty and mildly sweet, with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, burnt wood, dates. Lightly boozy bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, liked this one

Mmmmmmmm. Virkelig god Stout. Smaker sjokolade, kaffe, litt frukt. Denne blir min favoritt blant norske øl.

Pours satanic black with almost no head (ment to?) Aroma of licorice, oak and coffee. Taste is coffee, oak, molasses, licorice and some chocolate. Heavy but stil very smooth, some months cellaring and this will be a dream. Still think its very little carbonation in it thou, maybe it will come by time and was fresh in the shop
Aroma is chocolate, oak, licorice. Medium bodied, bitter roast finish. Taste is coffee, oak, burnt sugar, hints of licorice and chocolate. A touch harsh.

This one is best AFTER 2015, which you absolutely taste! It's already a great tasting beer. Monday (Saturday today) is the day I buy 4-5 bottles of this beer for storage.

Flaske 750ml delt hjemme med Håvard 16 Sep 14. Svart. Ved høy kvelling kan en framprovosere et raskt dalende mokkafarget skum som flater helt ut. Forsiktig lakrisaroma. Smaken balansert. Lakris & kaffe. Tørr. Litt lite variasjon. Alkoholen godt kamuflert - men jeg hadde vel forventet mer innhold.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet Sørlandssenteret. Makes no sound when opened. Close to zero carbonation. Heavy alcohol nose. Roasted coffee and malt. Warming. Oily body. Roasted bitterness. Bitter chocolate, roasted coffee and malt, lots of alcohol flavour. Too low on carbonation and way to alcohol heavy in my opinion.
